I still think he's still rusty, he can fight someone like Felix Sturm or Arthur Abraham again in his next fight. Most likely Felix Sturm.

After his next fight, he should go for a world title. Some want to see Degale vs Ward which is not a bad fight, but I still think Degale is a little green for Ward, of course Ward can take advantage of this. Andre is friends with the Dirrell brothers, I don't see that happening, of course I could be wrong, but I just don't see that happening. He wants Carl Froch, but Froch is retired, still not a bad fight.

Honestly he has better opponents to fight at LHW, that's if he can handle bigger fighters.

Ward had 9 good rounds and got the stoppage. Its what he needed.
He would have gotten better work against a sparring partner than he did last night.

Other current champions fight smith level opponents without the issue of a lay off.
Did Smith come in weighing 184 pounds against those champions or did he show up trained, in shape and ready to fight? And even then they disposed of him much faster than Ward did. This guy had no business still being in the ring after the third or fourth rounds. Smith was an overweight punching bag last night, nothing more than that.

Ward would have looked better if he had cancelled the fight when Smith hit the scales in such disgusting shape. I think Ward showed very poor judgement in going through with this fight. There is no honor in fighting someone who is so obviously out of shape and not in any condition to put up a decent fight. It is worse than draining someone down with a catchweight.

If I was Ward, I would seriously be thinking about retirement after that fight. He certainly will not be taking on a much better opponent in his next fight.

And reading his delusional fans crowing about this fantastic beat down and how he should be back up near the top of the P4P lists is just hilarious. I mean it's better than listening to a comedy show!
^^^^ writes the guy with Golovkin's picture for his profile pic, lol.

Ward will be the favorite when that fight happens.

They wouldnt compete against each other at the olympic trials, or in the Super-6 tourney..... so I can't see them fighting now.

There will be as much dumb money on the table for Ward/Golovkin or Ward/Kovalev, as there was for Mayweather/Pacquiao.

Mayweather is the surest thing in sport since the Auckland rugby team of the mid-nineties..... that provincial team beat every International touring team and were unbeaten for 12 years.

Ward is the second surest thing in sport next to Mayweather.

SOG is back and has GGG fans shook lmao, shaking off that rust after a 19 month layoff, they knew his only chance to lose against GGG was after that layoff and they're upset about it.

I remember when Rubio came in 1.8lbs over 160 and GGG fans were butt hurt about it, people were outraged at his weight advantage lmao. Smith comes in 4+lbs over the weight limit and they say nothing about it, instead he's "out of shape", "didn't even train for the fight" no outrage there lmao.
