If you make a substance banned, someone will either find a way to hide it or invent a new one. Caught means jack. Porter had zero respect for Pauli's power, he walked through him and was catching him was HUGE swinging shots, it's not like he took him out with one shot.

Pretty much what I was going to say.

Paulie uses range and tries to do enough to get the opponent's respect. If the opponent, in this case Porter, has no respect for what had that night, Porter ends up doing what he did. Plain and simple. Porter fights that way and in Paulie's case, it was a no brainer.

So I guess according to Paulie's logic nobody has ever beat him fairly that isn't named Cotto.

People forget now but there's a couple of things that lead me to believe he was fishy:

1) We've never seen that power from Porter before or since
2) They openly said they didn't want drug testing vs Brook. Then when it was demanded by Brook, they said THEY were the ones who wanted it. But it couldn't be USADA. It had to be VADA (or the other way around, it ended up being UCLA).
3) They weren't tested until right before the fight (according to Brook and that's why it was done by UCLA)
4) His weight and size changes

Malignaggi got caught pulling back with his head up high and his hands low, this is a flaw in Malignaggi's game that has been long standing. If there is one thing that Porter does well it is spring forward with great speed. The great power of Porter here was simply Malignaggi being caught so clean with his head up high without anticipating it. Porter probably is doping but jesus christ Malignaggi has been a pro for a long time, he knows the score.
