When will you give Brook the respect he deserves?

If anything after last night the Porter win looks less impressive for Brook.Porter is not a boxer he is a caveman fighter who dives in and smothers his own punches,he can't even throw a combination ffs.too many people including me bought into the hype that Porter was some killer after the Malignaggi win but the fact is he is just not that good.

Oh, he's also faced and beaten a P4P fighter in Timothy Bradley. Twice.
Kell Brook hasn't.

He's a flat footed, featherfisted southpaw. You literally couldn't make a better opponent for Brook than Alexander.
How is Alexander a better fight than Rios? At least Rios comes to fight. Nobody wants to watch Alexander fight. Ever.
Originally posted by NEELZ View PostI see it differently. Porter is a pressure fighter who likes to work in close. He was not head butting Brook. When he got close enough to work inside, Brook dealt with that by putting the clamps on his arms and negating his ability to punch. I am not sure that is legal. I think the rules of boxing needs a better definition concerning that.
I can see a comparison to the Ali-Frazier matchup, when Frazier was able to get Ali to the ropes, Ali did not just put a clinch on Frazier and cease all activity. He held his arms up as a guard. Frazier tried to punch his arms or find a spot to punch through the guard to the head or body.
Brook held.
If you can show me where Porter landed 5 clean punches the entire fight, I might entertain you. Until then..

He has gotten more than is fair share of credit, the only reason why it's not as high as it could be is because he's fought NO NO Dan and Frankie Gavin. When he beats Rios, noise will return.

P4P Bradley. lol that was a myth. Whatever, not hating on Pacquiao. He's obviously a good fighter. Does he beat Kell Brook? Pff, not a chance in hell, but he's still good.
Just not the same Pacquiao who fought Cotto or Margarito even though some people still want to believe he is.

Brook needs to step up.
Porter is his best win and that was a close fight.
Until he beats a Bradley / Thurman / Khan then I'm not convinced.
I want to believe in Brook as I believe he has all the tools to be a top WW.
Beating up Dan, Gavin and even Rios won't help his supporters.

Interviewer: "Who do you want to fight?"
Khan: "You know I'm looking at the best WWs in the world. The top guys. Guys like Mayweather (begging), Pacquiao (can't fight him he knows it)Bradley, (can't fight him he knows that), Marquez (old injured man), Thurman (please Khan, you're not fooling anyone) - those type of guys"
Literally mentions everyone except Porter - because brook beat him - Brook - because he's scared - Maidana - because he's about to compete at heavyweight and he's also frightened to death of him.
