RICARDO MAYORGA has the CHIN and POWER but he lacks....

discipline! that is a shame he is over confident, he is blessed with a good chin and power in both fists if he came in to fight tito trinidad and stayed focused he would have not gassed out so early I think he could have had a shot at upsetting tito but damn the dude got smokers lung, I heard he does not even do roadwork and he does not like to spar.

I think he should go down to 154 but do you think a guy like mayorga can ever be serious about training? what a waste of talent.

My mother quit cold turkey, at the age of 55, had been smoking, according to her, since her teen years, but anyway, in his case, it doesn't seem to have a huge adverse effect on him, no doubt he would have more wind if he didn't smoke, but his staying power isn't bad.

^he trains but from what I saw he does light workout and then for dinner drinks beer and smokes 3 times a day, I saw a video of him training and he was just bouncing a small ball and that was it haha. Imagine if he trained intense like hopkins does 4 months before fight night and not drink or party? he would be devastating.

Smoking doesn't affect you that much. There is a kid in my dorm Fred, and he smokes every 20 minutes. He is able to hold his breathe for an lap in swimming. He does smoke a cigarrette before he swims and after tho.

In the tito fight he looked gassed, I think when he dropped his hands and let tito unlease those devastating lefts that rattled his brain had a major affect on mayorga as well haha. but he got heart and a ***ing chin on him! just like tyson you do not see mayorga get dropped with spinning eyes like other fighters he goes down from accumlation of punches like tyson and jirov.
