    That's a decent point.

But here is a different angle of viewing that one...

Huck is a champion Cruiser of higher quality lb for lb than any opponent Wilder has ever faced.

Huck fought Povetkin AS a HW! Consider Evander Holyfield at 205lbs, SMALLER THAN HUCK winning the HW title and beating Foreman and Holmes and going the distance with Bowe at that weight. Would you consider him a bad opponent for Povetkin or too small or an embarrassment? You catching my drift here?

The fact that Huck went the distance with Povetkin is a PROOF of the quality of Huck and evidence that Huck could/would hang with Wilder also, not the other way around!

If you put Wilder up against Huck, Wilder towers over him but it would also be obvious that Huck makes Wilder look like a bean pole too.

It may be that Wilder could KO Huck because of a styles make fights scenario or something but there is nothing otherwise to suggest that Huck would not be a good opponent for Wilder.

    Huck is a proven boxer...

    Wilder is not.

I think he has more one punch pop than povetkin but povetkin is much more built from the waist down to absorb some punches and deliver his own. unless deontay was to detonate a bomb early I think povetkin would chop him down with accumalation by the mid rounds. deontay looks very vulnerable when being attacked and has never faced anyone with even near the combinations of povetkin

wouldnt be surpised if huck wouldnt have dropped wilder. the dude is awckward as hell and hits you from odd angles. anyway,,,,who cares. povetkin had rolls hanging off him in that fight and was at his worst. he's clearly improved since then and hasnt been in terribly bad shape ever since. hes seemingly learned his lesson from that fight

Loooool, that you just compared Wilder to Wladimir.

Wilder is successful at knocking out cans, I'll grant you that.

I get he fought a bunch of nobodies... but what I don't get even if Wilder isn't Wlad's level, you guys talk **** about him like he already got exposed or lost. Wilder is still one of the best HW's in the division, regardless whether he fought tomato cans or not.

Stiverne is certainly not a bum, Wilder showed spectacular boxing skills against him.

The only way we'll know if Wilder is truly Champion worthy is how he does against the legendary Povetkin... and to be honest, I can picture Wilder knocking him out. It can happen... that right hand is treacherous

Look I like your style mate so I'll keep the act clean for you right.

You have made some good points here, Wilder is one of the best HW's in the world, despite being a can crusher, everybody knows that. I will still continue the BUM SQUAD campaign however because he deserves it LOL.

No, Stiverne certainly was no bum but he was definitely not himself either and Wilder did not show "spectacular" skills, he showed he had "good" skills and that he had a good jab too. "Spectacular" is reserved for the dominance of Wladimir, or the agility and reflexes of Haye for example.

What you said regarding the event of Wilder knocking Povetkin out I of course disagree with for the reasons I cited earlier but I'll respect that opinion as it isn't THAT fanciful at all really compared with the guys I usually have confrontations with.

Maskaev was a far more skilful HW than Wilder, the only thing that might've let him down was his chin.

But then again I rate Rahman a much stronger puncher than Wilder and Maskaev was able to survive and belt him in good so he might be able to evade the worst of fast and long but unco and spindly Wilder.
