I thought Broner won the Malignaggi and Ponce fights pretty comfortably, even though he wasn't particularly impressive. AB has fallen victim to some ridiculously high expectations, a lot of which are his own doing. Even the Maidana fight wasn't the savage, one sided beating folks like to pretend it was.
At the end of the day, AB has done nothing in the ring to justify his status in the sport, nor the attention he recieves. Even Floyd had to grind his way up the ranks. Where AB was basically handed belts he didn't deserve to beef up a resume to balance out the the star they were trying to create. And it bit him, and folks putting a lotta money behind him in the ass. This fight with Porter is no different. Trying to punctuate AB as "back", against a guy and in a division he shouldn't be fighting in. And trying to stack the deck against Porter to do so.Comment

Haha, I remember when Bradley picked Lamont Peterson over Lucas Matthysse. Wrong again, Bradley!Comment

I don't even get how people think he's a great talent. Just because some of his punches look flashy and nice at times, i think people are blinded by that. The reality is that he has no footwork, leaky defence, not much power unless he's bullying lightweights, Ring IQ doesn't seem great.
A few nice looking punches here and there was never enough to convince me he would be an elite fighter. I could understand a casual fan looking at it and being fooled but i don't see how a professional fighter could fall for it.
The signs have been there well before the Maidana fight.Comment

Always saw him as an overhyped spoiled little kid. Glad he has had to be humbled yet again but he knew what was going to happen before he entered the ring. He didn't want to shake Porter's hand at the weigh in because he knew he was about to catch a loss and was a little upset at that.I don't even get how people think he's a great talent. I can't really see him taking this loss well at all. My call is he gets arrested within two weeks for some hard partying and a fight in the streets or something like that. Total self destruction is about to commence.Comment
