froch, for some reason, wants the fight in nottingham. part of that reasoning surely is having the advantage of fighting at home.

i'm not going to pretend to understand british boxing economics to the degree that i can say with certainty what the purses would look like at either venue.

ward's not a knockout puncher. he's got a robbable style. there's certainly a risk for robbery. he saw the dirrell fight. you've got to be biased if you don't think that's a legitimate concern.

and finally, some o you need to look at a map of america. atlantic city is several thousand miles from oakland california. it's a six hour flight. it's not all that much further from oakland than it is from london.
Ward has dominated almost all of his big fights. His style isn't very "robbable". I don't imagine him fighting like a deer in the headlights the same way Dirrell did. He's too mentally strong and is a rough fighter himself. Dirrell asked to lose that fight, the same way someone like Clottey does.

If Froch doesn't KO Ward, Andre would get the decision IMO. We're talking about a fight (Dirrell) that happened years ago and wasn't even that bad a decision. Crawford was the last Yank to come over to Burns' hometown and took a wide UD.

It's like saying no Brits should go to Vegas after what they did to Lennox. Typical Fat Yank-logic.

They didn't fight in Ward's home city so, it is only fair they don't do it in Nottingham especially given the fact how badly Froch lost.

Wembley is not an issue here. He just said it would be great, but Froch is just holding on to that point making it seem as if it is some sort of a hindrance.

I agree London doesn't make a difference, but since, it doesn't why doesn't Froch jump on it, at least to call out Ward's bluff?

a judge managed to give froch quite a few rounds in AC. thaty's a hell of a lot more difficult when a guy is getting knocked around the ring, which ward doesn't do. that's what i'm referring to when i call a style "robbable." ward's often negative. his inside fighting, which is actually dependent on keeping a hand free and punching, is also more easily interpreted as negativity than a typical offensive style.

he's mentally strong, unlike dirrell, whose negativity is often a product of his weakness mentally. he's still got a style that lends itself to scorecards that are closer than they should be, given how wide the fights are in reality.

you don't have to worry much about a robbery when you knock people out. ward's not a hard puncher, and breaks / injures his left hand virtually every time he fights.

              4. Why is he still talking?

              5. Somehow, Ward will get bashed for responding to this.

Yeah and that's why the arena was half-empty cos no one gives a *** about Ward outside Oakland. He idiotically thinks its the same for Froch

Where are they going to fight in London? The 02? 20k? When they could have done maybe double that in Nottingham. The most business sense for that fight was clearly Nottigham.

Froch doesn't need to call anyone's bluff. He doesn't even need to fight. Ward is the one who almost retired and started looking for a new job.

The judge was a Yank. The British judge scored it 118-110.

that's probably the only line of the post that you read, which leads me to want to end the conversation and stop wasting my time.

i'm assuming this becasue it has nothing to do with my points, [that ward has a "robbable" style,] which are well laid out.

                    • Froch never pursued a rematch with Ward because he knows he would get embarrassed again, but they nonetheless have unfinished business because Froch has grabbed a belt and been calling himself champion while Ward was sidelined with legal issues, in addition to talking **** about Ward on countless occasions.

They can't settle things because the loser of the fight is demanding the winner come to his hometown in order to make the rematch.

He's only willing to try to avenge his loss if he has hometown advantage, and you guys champion him as some sort of warrior? Sheeiiiittttt.

Froch is just another guy that got his ass kicked by Andre Ward, rematch or no rematch.
