Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley: If You Don't Take The Test, You Are Dirty!

Taking a page from the playbook of Floyd Mayweather Jr., former two-division world champion Timothy Bradley (31-1-1, 12KOs) has no interest in fighting any boxer unless they agree to take part in random drug testing.

Bradley returns next Saturday night in an HBO televised main event against undefeated former WBA 140-pound champion Jessie Vargas (26-0, 9KOs).

      Great argument!

There is zero reason for there NOT to be drug testing for any major fight. I understand the cost will keep lower level fights from using VADA or USADA.

All fights should be tested, for the safety of both fighters.

I understand the sentiment, but it doesn't work unless it is year round random testing, not just in the months running up to the fight.

The only way you could do this is if there was a centralised american body, similar to the BBBofC, which received funding and was able to ensure this.

I believe Timmy has ebola. If you don't take the test, I don't believe you.

I think in this day and age where people like Pederson was taking testosterone pellets it is very safe to think most boxers are on something, the incident with the American athlete Gulup has even made me more aware of what boxers can be taking to get an edge.

THere's no reason that anyone should refuse drug testing. The concept of having year round testing is irrelevant to Bradleys point.
