Yeah, it's smart, since it's an actual weight class that Walters can't make - not some made up CW. Clear difference that only a Philly fool couldn't see.

Why didn't the guy who gave the interview say that we would like the fight but at 126, no catch weights? why did he say we have NO interest in the fight and he was implying that they weren't interested in fighting Walters at any weight cuz he rehydrates to a very high weight and he's gonna be bigger than Lomachenko at any weight? be real!
How can it be a duck if Walters couldn't make weight in his last fight?
Would you risk it if you were in Loma's shoes?
stop being a sheep....you damn well it has NOTHING to do with him missing weight....Axe Man was on the shelf for a minute...that's why he missed the mark on the scale...typical sheep
Walters is too big and skilled for Lomachenko to fight and give up that kind of weight advantage. It could be the type of fight to ruin his career; I think it's a smart move on his part.
The unification was a big reason for this fight happening. If Walters can make weight and reestablish himself then it's a possibility.
That's reasonable, of course... (But, as I can understand the PBC politics regarding the catch weights and the 'alphabet' belts, I don't understand a similar behaviour outside PBC... This being said, I think that Walders should have shown a bigger respect to his status as a champion...)

Incase you forgot, Walters was stripped of his title. Lomachenko's career has been all about chasing titles, not names.

You know what would've happened to Walters if he had said something like this had he been in Lomachenko's shoes? the guy would've been crucified by the fans and the critics, but with Lomachenko it's alright, cuz it's all white.
You havent even given anyone a chance to reply. So how can you say that? Im pretty pissed at Loma but Walters hasn't carried himself in a super professional matter with his weight. But I am Mexican so my opinion doesn't matter right?
You're literally the first comment dumba*s. Your a racist idiot.
I'm 'white', but I like Walters more than Loma... Now what?
Maybe you're one of the few people who are not emotionally attached to fighters based on their race, and for that I salute u cuz this doesn't happen so often.
I actually prefer Lomachenko's style cuz it's smarter and more sophisticated, which is more fun for me to watch than Walters' style which is more basic, Lomachenko's style to me is the evolution of the sport, this is how modern fighter should fight like, no modern fighter should fight like Brandon Rios, and I don't hate Rios. But my post wasn't about who's the better fighter, I just wanna show the double standard in boxing, once u r a fan favorite u can get away with anything u say, once u r against a fan favorite u can't say anything without getting criticized, and in this case I think Lomachenko being white has something to do with him being more of a fan favorite than Walters, this is why out of like 40 posts only 2 guys called Lomachenko a duck for clearly ducking the fight.
