I get all that, but arum has given them nearly every star hbo has had over the past few decades...

    Manny
    Floyd
    Oscar
    Cotto
    Morales

Literally the biggest stars post tyson, and arum guided all to the top, by showcasing them on undercards...

Hbo should demand strong main events but the undercard fights they should let Bob matchup Oscar Valdez with whoever he wants... It's proven to pay huge dividends over the long run...

There were signs of this happening last month.

HBO already threw them a bone with Trutv and the ratings make the PBC look like the NFL, we might see a return of pinoy power and latin fury if HBO starts making this a habit.
Arum doesn't like to have his fighters fight anyone with a chance unless the opponent is also in his stable. He's mad right now because he has no leverage and most his prospects don't merit any type of big paydays unless they are fighting someone who might beat them.

I don't think SHO is going to give in to having TR fighters fight bullshit fights unless he start dangling Pacquiao but even that might not be good enough.

Like I said get ready for more Latin Fury's and Pinoy Power cards until he starts losing money and goes back to HBO and matches his fighters tough.

Arum been knew there was no loyalty in this sport/business....why is he b'tching?!?....Mr. Harvard grad been knew that when the grass is cut the snakes will show

HBO been building and making stars since day one....they don't NEED Arum or anyone on his depleted roster with the exception of maybe Loma and Crawford..they have Krusher, GGG, Nelo, and Cotto leading the charge lol

I hear you, but HBO don't have the long run any more, they're up against PBC and they have to deliver a good product right now.

I think they should invest in good fights. If that means cutting Arum's mediocre, unentertaining match-ups, then I'm all for it.

The problem with Arum is his behaviour. He doesn't know how to go his separate way without destroying bridges.

              1) You look at the way he handles fighters who leave him: Floyd, Miguel, Julio, Oscar (they took years to mend bridges and Arum is still screwing him on the sly).

              2) You look at the way he handles setbacks: bringing the sport into disrepute by claiming his fighter was injured before the fight and then changing the story to an injury in the 4th round. The action was about preserving the reputation of his product; he had no regard for how this affected his business partner's reputation.

              3) You look at the way he parters ways with his business associates. Rather than leave gracefully, he decides to take a stab at the reputation of a HBO regular in Golovkin. I did not disagree with Arum's words but this interview proves how hypocritical he is. Ultimately his bitterness resulted in him trying to hinder HBO's prospects on the sly.

He should be pretty mindful. I'm sure people will work with him if the dollars make sense but at the same time people don't forget. He's put himself in a position where if people have the option of not doing business with him, they will take that opportunity.

I guess he gets some credit for the joint May-Pac telecast but that was led by Sho/MayP and it wasn't a spectacle either.

Are there any fights I have missed?

If Arum doesn't want to put good fights on HBO, then I doubt they'll miss him too much.
Yep, alot of TR fights have been poor events over the last 2 years. Bob's mad, but if you want to be on primetime HBO you better bring quality. Thanks to TR's feud with GB and now Haymon, they haven't been able to make many compelling match-ups with their stable. I was actually ok to see Mikey Garcia out, alot of his fights are less than exciting.

There's been a number of mediocre fights on HBO that have had nothing to do with Top Rank.

And if you're going to give HBO credit for cutting bad fights, then criticize them for standing in the way of good match-ups like Kovalev-Stevenson.
