I guess he gets some credit for the joint May-Pac telecast but that was led by Sho/MayP and it wasn't a spectacle either.

Are there any fights I have missed?

If Arum doesn't want to put good fights on HBO, then I doubt they'll miss him too much.
Didn't read this at first but you're absolutely right hbo is paying for arums and ggg's mismatches.

Walter Marriaga was an excellent fight.
Anyway, unto my original intent for this response.

Arum is smart he knows you have to make and baby a fighter for awhile before you take off the trainer wheels.

I've heard people give the credit to HBO, but let's say it's Arum and give the credit to him, why should HBO pay for fights they don't want at the prospect stage? they're trying to do numbers right now, they want to put on good fights.

Golovkin and Kovalev don't even have that many important fights available in their weight classes (that can be made on HBO, without Haymon) so I'm not totally on board with HBO commiting to a whole bunch of their fights without a lot of quality opponents.

Cotto and Canelo...whoever loses that fight won't be all that important to HBO going forward.

Chocolatito...we'll see how much of an audience he contributes, we have no idea how much, if any, he moves the needle.
