So what if Hagler had a grueling 15 round fight, he didn't get rendered unconscious.

SRL didn't box for the 2 half years you think he could have fought Hagler, Floyd boxed all through the 5 years the fight with Manny could have been made.

Do you actually think Floyd faced the best Manny he could have fought? And i am not getting into some hocus pocus PED debate.
The best Manny was left sleeping in the MGM grand, everyone knows that .

BUT, that wasn't the best Floyd either. A few counters a round and a few jabs to the belly. On average 9-12 punches a round is not the best Floyd.

The fight turned out to be a joke, actually. Both fighters were extremely gun shy. No one laid it on the line that night.

No, but that was on Manny who decided to walk away. Can't blame Floyd for that decision.

Did Ray fight the best Hagler? By his own admission SRL said he waited until he saw slippage in Hagler (in the Mugabi fight) and then decided to fight him, thus confirming it wasn't the eye that delayed the fight but Ray waited for his best chance.

I was just pointing out that Ray did the exact same thing at the end of his career as you are criticizing Floyd for doing now at the end of his.

There what is? Why was it ok to take the tests for 2nd May, but not 5 years ago?

Floyd fighting Manny after 5 years when fight could have originally been fought has so little comparison to Leonard fighting Hagler after 5 years.
SRL, however way you spin it, was a great comeback. No tune up fight, and it not being the eye injury only confirm it for you. SRL could have continued to fight in that time.

For me, Floyds whole teasing argument fell down when he said "I gave him [Pacquiao] a chance, up to 14 days out. But my new terms are all the way up to the fight.

Manny agreed to the 14 days months after he said that. Floyd then change his mind. The fight could have taken place Nov 2010 at that point. The whole thing was just posturing. If you are that serious about testing, do it properly, have 6-12 month of OST, its not like neither could not afford it, and of course that begs the question if Floyd was actually clean himself.

Then of course you have this gem:

"Floyd Mayweather Jr., Floyd Mayweather Sr., Roger Mayweather and Mayweather Promotions wish to make it clear that they never intended to claim that Manny Pacquiao has used or is using any performance enhancing drugs, nor are they aware of any evidence that Manny Pacquiao has used performance enhancing drugs. Manny Pacquiao is a great champion, and no one should construe any of our prior remarks as claiming that Manny Pacquiao has used performance enhancing drugs".

This is all i am going to say on PEDS, not going to get dragged into a pointless debate.

I don't know why you are bringing all this up. The bottom line is SRL did almost the same thing Floyd did, you are justifying when ray did it and criticizing Floyd for it, which makes no sense.

Eh, no i am not, my comparison was to Floyd and SRL as a fighter, risks taken and level of competition . Your the one who brought up any antics involved. not me.

No, I brought up his opponents at the end of his career, duran, Norris and Camacho to point out what you were saying was uninformed regarding ray and competition at the same point in his career that Floyd is at in his.

I got that you were making a point about risks taken you just left out the part about ray admitting he did things that reduced the risk in the Hagler fight and in the Duran rematch.

Oscar won the first fight so it would be right to give him a rematch. Just ask Floyd Sr. who he thinks won the fight.

Not only do a lot of people think Oscar won the first fight, but lets also recognize that Oscar MADE Floyd Mayweather a star and what he is today....

before the DLH fight Floyd wasn't a big PPV attraction or the character he has become, he was just Pretty Boy Floyd then after DLH he became the hated trash talking mega star.

                      BUT

Let's give it a rest, DLH needs to stay retired yall.
