    PBC on Spike TV bombed...

Lara vs. Rodriguez... 446,000 viewers. 42% decrease from Khan vs. Algieri. Which I don't think is too big of a shock considering both Khan and Algieri are bigger names than Lara and Rodriguez, but the numbers are certainly disappointing.

They need to put Lara in there with bigger names. Although with his slick style and poor ratings I don't know if he'll be able to get those shots.

Overall though it was a bad week for boxing. HBO and Showtime also bombed so it is what it is.

Solution is to never let him headline a card. He should just remain an undercard fighter. The audience is more tolerant of undercard fighters.

Lara's been in some exciting fights with the right opponent. Putting him in there with Ishe Smith and Delvin Rodriguez isn't going to excite anyone. The Angulo fight was really fun. Two different styles, a fighter with a pretty big sized fan base. Put him in there with Kirkland and you'll see Lara shine.

Well Angulo Vs Lara was exciting, i give you that, but...

Lara Vs Delvin Rodriguez = boring
Lara Vs Ishe Smith = boring
Lara Vs Canelo Alvarez = boring
Lara Vs Vanes Martirosyan = boring
Lara Vs Freddy Hernandez = less boring, but still boring
Lara Vs Paul Williams = good fight

Just to show what a great network Spike is, I was just watching a show called 'Catch a Contractor' and there was an ad that sent me for a loop! They were advertising a Floyd Mayweather PPV for Sept 13th!!! But...

it was for Mayweather - Maidana II!!!!! So I check the original airdate of the program I was watching and sure enough, it was from August, 2014. So not only do they rerun their programming in an endless loop, they also rerun the damn commercials! Quality network that is.

Maybe Haymon does let Lara fight Golovkin on HBO in hopes that he hurts their numbers.
