He isnt gonna win fights like this when he steps up. Look at him, all his punches are thrown with conviction. And his defense isnt very good either.

He is a young prospect against a tricky vet. He is not supposed to be the finished product.

Harold lederman drives me crazy. The baby bull made similar sounds when punching but couldn't bust a g**** power wise. This Valdez kid creates angles well and is accurate...but his grunting and sitting on his punches is not turning into mind blowing power as lederman suggests

He's hitting Tamayo with all he's got but Tamayo is comfortable with the power now. Valdez isn't hitting him with anything he can't see coming and Valdez surely isn't getting stronger down the stretch.

Valdez needs to feint and use some throwaway punches or at least catch Tamayo by punching with him.
