Reading comprehension. No reading comprehension... this isn't Shakespeare my real meaning isn't that deeply hidden. Cotto shouldn't vacate just because he weighs in under the MW limit. You're suggesting he should... so I'm guessing because Floyd weighs in at WW that you think he should vacate for that reason too right?

GGG fans are now arguing not only about CW's and maximum weights, but minimum weights now lol.

You where clearly implying that Cotto os not a MW right? That's why I was asking if you thought he should vacate. I mean why would you want a champion at a weight where he didn't belong and with no intention of fighting this divisions best fighter?Comment

Ward didn't, but at least he has names on his resume with some weight and 168 is a decent division. What is this crap about moving up? How many times did Ward move up? Or Hagler? How old was Hopkins when he moved up? Cotto moved up cause he couldnt make weight, or was chased out by superior fighters and found some invalids up north.

Btw Ggg accepted fights at 168 vs Froch, Ward, Chavez.

Hagler... this isn't 30 years ago, boxing has changed.

Hopkins did the same thing GGG is doing and he's nowhere near a draw, he got like 100k buys on his last PPV fight. Staying in one division for 20 years doesn't seem to be a smart move.

Whatever reason Cotto moved up, it's worked so I'm not sure why you're hating. You obviously would let GGG bum you if it mean GGG had the same career or relevance as Cotto. Otherwise, why do you want GGG to fight him?Comment

Yes, reading comprehension you have none.Reading comprehension.

Nowhere did I say Cotto should vacant, I really don't care if he does or doesn't. But he SHOULDN'T just because he doesn't make the maximum weight. You've been schooled enough, hopefully you comprehend what you read on the third attempt.Comment

Whatever the reason without HBO's consent GGG isn't fighting anyone. GGG fans think he's Floyd all of a sudden lol.HBO didn't say they would not allow Haymon fighters, they said they are open to working with Haymon if the circumstances are right (they were basically saying we will work with them for certain fights but not overpay for their fighters on our network for crap fights).Comment

Of course not! That's why asked you, you dimwit! And it's 'vacate' BTW. Not 'vacant'.

 You're vacant though.

Lol. Imagine if the HW champ says that he'd only fight with a limit of 210 lbs.I really don't care if he does or doesn't. But he SHOULDN'T just because he doesn't make the maximum weight.

You've been schooled enough, hopefully you comprehend what you read on the third attempt. English is not exactly your specialty is it? English is not exactly your specialty is it?Comment

Are you being serious right now? Hopkins last PPV was against who and at what age? That's why it didn't sell much. His fight against Kovalev was one of the highest rated fights last year and so were his fights against Pascal. Hopkins always gets great ratings (only his PPV's against guys no one wants to see him fight do poorly).Ward didn't, but at least he has names on his resume with some weight and 168 is a decent division.

Quite obviously Hopkins patience at 160 paid off. He was a no name in boxing but eventually got Trinidad & Oscar, two of the biggest names in all of the sport, which propelled Hopkins into a name fighter. He was never a huge name to be sure, but he was never going to be given his style of fighting. Regardless, Trinidad/Oscar made him into one of the bigger names in boxing over the past 10+ years. If Hopkins would have moved up to 168/175 sooner and never fought Tito/Oscar he wouldn't have been nearly as popular & successful as he was.Comment
