Lara is a interesting anomaly. He doesn't command such a big purse that HBO can't use "the price is right" argument. He isn't signed to SHowtime. If HBO doesn't approve him it seems solely because he would make for a difficult fight for GGG.
I don't know man, apparently he made $1 million against Delvin and I remember his manager saying that he would get a seven-figure purse for the Ishe fight. He will probably ask more to face GGG.

If your're consistent with your criticism of mandatory challengers getting screwed over during the past 30 years then you would have a point. If you have been letting it slide then you have no right to complain now just because a fighter you are a fan of is getting shafted due to corruption.
I didn't see much of an outcry for Vanes, Lara, Aydin or the numerous other fighters that had to go through a ton of eliminators and not get their shot at the title.

I hear ya. Its such a travesty that the alphabet boys does not enforce the mandos. Sturm avoided GGG for years, then Martinez, then Cotto. Hopefully they strip Cotto if he goes on to fight Canelo.
