But I don't give a crap who outsells who. Following your logic, boxing will be in serious ****ing trouble in less than a year when Mayweather, Manny and Cotto are all retired. I don't care if Mayweather ever fights GGG, in fact I hope he doesn't because it would be a public execution, not a boxing match. I just want to see the best fighting the best, not the best money maker fighting the other best money maker. We all saw the fight that gave us on May 2nd. I don't know about you, but I have no interest in seeing any more like that.

This is why I am really starting to enjoy UFC more than boxing and have more respect for MMA fighters than I have for boxers. No one gets paid insane purses and they want to be known as the best, not the richest.

All I can say is that boxing fans get what they deserve because they support fighters for the wrong reasons. Boxing has almost become an offshoot of the rap culture, who ever can afford the most gold chains around their neck wins.

It's not disrespect and this is a professional sport, not an excuse afternoon. If his level of opposition is whack then it is what it is don't matter why. You can hardly name a more avoided fighter than Rigondeaux, he is far from the hyped status of GGG's now and he was far from an "HBO favourite", in fact they wanted no part of him but he still managed to get a fight with Donaire who was on P4P top10-s at that time. Hell even Lara could manage it (Canelo, Trout), Kovalev could manage it (Hopkins, Pascal) so sorry but I won't buy it that Golovkin's team couldn't. I can't believe that Golovkin fans are never able to criticize that guy. Like Golovkin would just be a piece of wood in the river which just go with the flow and can't do nothing against it. You always make it out like Golovkin would be jut a victim of the circumstances and he couldn't do nothing for his own good. Like he would be just perfect.

Tell me after which of his fights Canelo should have pick Golovkin as his opponent? When was a demand for it from the public?
Cotto is an other case but I can understand that he didn't want to risk the big showdown with Canelo. I think the Canelo vs Cotto fight's winner will go against Golovkin and whoever that will be he won't be a no hoper.

Well that's not totally true. For the Matweather fans and Broner fans it's true. They have a hip hop fan base. A fan base that are loyal to them which consist of the American urban black or hip hop crowd. They are what you call huggers to them and they are not your true die hard boxing fan. They only care what Floyd does and defend him like he's a girlfriend. A True fan doesnt care what kind of money a fighter brings in. They only care about seeing the very best match ups. Floyd fans count his money like it's theirs.

I know tons of afro-american Floyd fans who behave in this manner. one of my boys is a HUGE floyd stan..always sending me articles about how much floyd (and other athletes) are making. idgaf lol
