Complete average joe. And you always big up guys who've given one of your favourites problems. Why? He's nothing special.

Povetkin wasn't the Povetkin he is today. He more than likely would destroy Huck now and probably just had a bad day.
This is to do with Huck personally.

Of course I think Povetkin would destroy him under normal circumstances.

Clearly you haven't even seen him fight though! Huck is an excellent and exciting fighter who has been the clear master of Cruiser. The guy is looking at the HOF, you know that thing that guys like you worship so much.

I reckon you ought to go watch a few fights for once and then get back to me and tell me how sorry you are for doubting.

I merely give credit where it is due, and not where it isn't.

You on the other hand sledge good boxers...

    And you support bums!

Huck is certainly more than "ordinary", but he does have a laziness about him, somewhat like Abraham at times, and fights down to the level of competition. When he's geared up for a fight, he's dangerous as hell and extremely entertaining to watch. His fight with Povetkin was one of the best HW fights in the past decade.

Well that would be a more appropriate judgement there Foreign I didn't want to sound like I was overstating his case too much there but this LacedUp guy ****ting on him like that really bugged me! lol

As many people have said, if you claim to be the champ then you better fight the best there is. Honestly, I've never been that high on Wilder but if he fights anyone other than Povetkin next, he's ducking for real.

Now, if we remember the last heavyweight champ from Alabama, Evander Holyfield, his motto was "I duck no one" because he was the real deal. Deontay, are you the real deal? Then step up and fight your number one contender and prove it - if you lose, you lose. You can always come back and fight another day.

trying and losing is better than not trying at all.
Holyfield did, indeed, OVER TIME fight all comers.

But when he first won the heavyweight title, his first three defenses were against two over-40 heavyweights -- Foreman and Holmes -- and Bert Cooper.

He didn't look any better against Cooper than Wilder did against Molina.

In retrospect the Foreman defense looks more credible than it did at the time, but only because Big George later beat Moorer.

            Right, let's go:

The same Bert Cooper who had been in against Rid**** Bowe, Ray Mercer and George Foreman in the two years prior to the fight?

The same George Foreman who had wins over Cooper and Gerry Cooney in the two years prior to the fight?

The same Larry Holmes who went into the Holyfield bout off the back beating Ray Mercer?

Tell me now, who, of note, has Molina fought? Chris Arreola? Three years ago? Where he was stopped inside a round?

Well everyone is calling Wilder a bum and overrated because of a fight he dominated outside of five punches in Molina so there is that.

I think Wilder can easily beat Povetkin and will when the fight is ready. We haven't hear anything from Team Povetkin either so who knows what they are thinking..

They want the fight, but sense reluctance and weakness on Wilder's part.

Ivan Kirpa, former welterweight contender and current head trainer of Olympic gold medal winner Alexander Povetkin, was stunned by the recent accusations that were voiced by WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32 KOs). Earlier this month, Povetkin (29-1, 21 KOs) demolished Mike Perez in 91 seconds in a WBC final eliminator. Wilder is defending his title in a few weeks against Eric Molina.

Yes, the Cooper who "had been in with" those guys had been KOd in 2 by Foreman and Bowe, lol. And shut out by Mercer.

Foreman beat a Cooney who was coming off a KO loss ... 3 years earlier, and hadn't been in a ring since.

Mercer was raw and limited at that time. Holmes schooled him, but was not seen as any sort of true challenge for Holy.

If you want to act like Holy was taking all comers at that time, go ahead, but he was still developing and his team was carefully matching him early in his first reign no doubt.

Okay. Sounds like nitpicking to me. Wilder destroyed Molina. Maybe he was working on stuff. Maybe he was trying to work the hook. Who knows?

A month ago? ROFL. Sure they want the fight. If it's in Russia. If they get their testing. If they get their purse split etc etc get the picture?
