Yes he does very few things well, no one is arguing that. But so do about 3 guys at my local gym down the street. What's your point? This is championship, elite boxing we are talking about.

Skill wise he is the most limited boxer in the current BoxRec top 10. He telegraphs his punches, there is nothing particular impressive in his jab, he has long reach and he jabs that's about all there is too it. He doesn't pummel guys with it like other fighters do. He also drops his lead hand after jabbing it. And did someone say he has the best jab in HW boxing? I don't know what you are watching there. He uses it to measure and keep distance, its not a gaming changing jab. It's too slow, there is a predictable rhythm to it and he retracts it back to his waist, now whats so special about it?

He has no defense, his hands are always low with his head there to hit for anyone with any kind of speed. He always has his hands low and offers nothing in terms of defense, he is wide open for counters all day.

His footwork is not there, just watch any of his fights.

Oh and finally yes he is little chance against those guys you mentioned.
That's his style man. You do realize boxers don't all fight the exact same right? Some guys keep their hands low and lean a lot for defense. Some guys stand straight up with a guard. Some guys use a lot of head movement like Frazier. Whatever works for that individual fighter is the "skills" that work. Ali kept his hands at his waist his whole career. It worked for him. People say Wilder is "wide open for counters". Well then counter him then!! Geez if he sucks so bad then other boxers should be able to punish him for it. And if his punches are so predictable and telegraphed, why does he land so many of them at a good %? He lands jabs at a higher % than other HWs and power shots as well.

He does need to stop backing straight up and needs to take more angles. But right now, he has an excellent jab, a solid left hook and the most deadly right hand in the division. He will far on that toolset..

He actually has a good quick jab. Thought he looked 100x better vs Stiverne. Much more patient and much more under control during that fight.

Obviously the man has skills... He completely out boxed Stevirne. The fact he his a title holder, means the man has skill.

He has a jab though far from great, he fights utilizing his height and his stamina is obviously not bad as people thought it would be. The fact is his power is enough to dictate fights. Many of the past former greats were far from pugilist of the sport but had curtain gifts that allowed them to compete amount some of the best and beat some of the best!

Most great fighters haven't been textbook. People used to bash your profile pic RJJ all the time for his lack of skills while he was tearing up multiple divisions..

I imagine those saying he has no skills have an agenda. He is the second or third best heavyweight in the world so of course he has skills. Those saying he has no skills must be suggesting the whole heavyweight division is weak now.

                thats amazing logic right there

any single guy who is 6 foot 7 and fairly athletic is going to be KO'ing most guys, it doesnt change the fact that he is garbage and has fought tin cans.

                OH STIRVERNE DOE.

what about GGG knocking out tomato cans his whole career? is he also garbage?. Because GGG and wilder have a similiar type of resume but wilder gets hated on

comparing ali to wilder and now ggg to wilder? these comparisions are amazing guys, and by amazing i mean amazingly ******ed.

wilder gets hated on because he literally has fought NO ONE, he fought a fking TEACHER in his last fight that nearly knocked him out ( had he followed up )

goddamn americans are so dumb its unbelievable at times

he beat stirverne doe, hes champ doe, so he must be good right ?

                  wrong.

as soon as he fights someone with a pulse he will be promptly put to sleep, without a shadow of a doubt.

                  stirverne doe.

Some, I think he relies too much on his athletic ability, and hasn't learned defense at the pro level.

It's amazing he's the WBC champ with just his athleticism. IF he continues getting better, and keeps learning especially on the defensive side of the game, he can be a real tough guy to beat.

Against Molina, he was just hit with too many shots for my liking. If he gets hit like that vs Klitchko, he's done.
