Yah Triple G is really ducking a guy who has "contractual issues with his promoter" and now needs 2-3 tune ups..yah sure, we believe you...
Another convenient way for Ward to duck Kovalev..shiiit he's even fighting in the light-heavy division but wants no part of Kovalev..even came up with that lame excuse: "After I beat Kovalev, where do I go?"...
Ward is an insecure fighter who is afraid to take on challenges and needs every advantage to go into a fight..only guy who never fought outside of his country in the Super 8 Tourney...avoided that mandatory random-blood testing...out for years etc...all the signs of a juicer...Comment

Well, that sums it up perfectly (but what will members of the SOG fan club say?).He needs to stop sounding so selfless because it is obviously a front. I mean he is a complete diva and we have known this for years. His way or the highway. He is SOG, you are not. He is all time great, you are just lucky to get a chance to fight him. I'd respect him more if he was more focused on his craft and legacy for his own satisfaction. I mean he has the potential to jump back in the lime light and land any fight he wants. Ali had to work to land opponents all through his career, Hagler had to do it, Toney had to do it, everyone has to do it. Nobody just shows up to a semi-retired no fanbase having blowhard looking to be lucky enough to land a fight. To put it simply, fighters have been looking past Ward for a while now and he just doesn't know it yetComment

I agree Ward's contractual disputes and legal issues are at least partially on him. I hope he comes in and lights Paul Smith up this weekend in a flashy way. I want Andre Ward to still be the same guy who won the super six, I want to see that guy fight Kovalev.Comment

everyone hating on ward are idiots.
the man was willing too retire too prove a point too his old promoter.
pay me what I think I deserve or I wont fight again.
ward did what was best for his career.
if he stayed with goosen he would make about 2 million dollars per fight no matter who he fought, because that's all hbo would put up for his fights because he isn't a draw.
with roc nation he has guaranteed money on his contract no matter who he fights.
it was smart business.
after Saturday, ggg will no longer have an excuse not too fight. nor will the rest of the 168 division.
and when he moves too 175, Kathy duva has already said that she has had talks with ward's people about ward vs kovalev and that it will happen next year.
so stop with all the excuses for ggg and stop saying ward is scared of kovalev because Kathy duva said the fight has been discussed for next year
