Don't be an idiot. If the weigh-in (24-hrs prior to the fight) is 144 how on God's green earth would he NOT rehydrate past 144?

How in the **** does Porter's team not know the contractually agreed (one would assume anyway) weight the week of the fight? This just a ploy by the Porter's or is it legit that they don't know?

Its obvious AB is just tryin to drain Porter. 3 pounds makes a hell of a difference

If he wanted credit, he would have fought Porter at the normal Welterweight limit

It's his first quality opponent since he maidana and he's draining a guy who has trouble making 147.

Most think the extra 3 pounds will make a big difference, most think porter would win at 147.

I don't know how they didn't know when I knew. I had just told my wife a couple weeks ago that her boy Broner is fighting the guy that beat the crap out of Paulie... The boxing commentator (that's how I have to explain it to her because she don't keep up with the sport like I do). And I mentioned it to her because she likes how he talks crap and doing ****** stuff in the ring and she'll be out of town for her brother's graduation and they most likely won't be watching the fight. And she asked me was it going to be a good fight and I told her yeah, but they're fighting at a catch weight of 144 which is right in the middle of the welter and jr. Welter division. Maybe there wasn't no clear confirmation, but when I read about it, I guess I assumed that the 144 was a done deal. If they don't know that they agreed to 144, then it's going to be difficult for Porter to make it healthy because the last few days of camp is supposed to be light training. He's going to have to push himself hard leading up to the weigh-in.

AB is playing the percentages that Porter won't be as powerful at 144lbs.
Won't be as strong?..... He might ****in die. Porter even in the amatuers was fighting around Jr middleweight. This **** should not even be sanctioned

I was seriously considering dropping some coin on Porter even with the catchweight assuming he was the underdog. Come to find out he's like a 1.5-1 favorite now I'm not so sure. But that goes to show you how bad a matchup this fight is for AB the bookies would've probably had Porter somewhere around 3-1 (favorite) had it not been for the weight.... CRAZY ****

AS THEY SHOULD... I don't think Broner can beat him without the catch weight and neither does he obviously. Truth be told I think Porter can beat him even with the CW but that's yet to be seen
