Agreed. Excited to see Golovkin step up to someone at A-level within a year's time too though... should be able to get Cotto/Canelo winner at least and hopefully Ward at some point.

That sucks, was hoping he'd be back in September. It won't be Lemieux, but maybe a double header with David instead?

in my idea world, his next 5 fights would be:

          quillin

          lemieux

          cotto

          alvarez

Moves up to face Kovalev (once kovalev hhas unified the division)

What a sick tease that would be. If they both looked great on a double header, we'd all be amped af for GGG/Lemeiux along with GGG/[Cotto/Canelo].

I'd probably throw Andy Lee in there. Plus I'd have a Ward fight first before Kov. You're asking him to suddenly jump 15 lbs.

Froch made that comment and when he was called out on it he never replied but retired instead. That says it all to me. He realized that his lies probably pissed off Golovkin and the last thing he wanted to face in a ring was a pissed off GGG. Made retirement look so much more appealing.

I hope he makes the same comments about Golovkin that he made about Calzaghe, like how he would like to fight him in the street, because GGG is likely to take him up on it seeing as he grew up doing just that, beating up random people on the street that his brother picked out for him.

Why Quillin? Guy doesn't have a title and is a total joke today. I'd much prefer Lemieux, Lee, Cotto/Canelo winner, then move to 168 if he feels like it to take on Ward. If Ward has finished with his tune up fights by then, of course.

There is no possible way I see Golovkin moving to 175. That is beyond ridiculous as he would be a midget at that weight.

                    Who is next for GGG?

                    My guess is: Tim Bradley.

That would keep the hype going strong for GGG.

After he KO's Bradley the talk will be "Mayweather ducked Bradley, look what GGG just did to him. Mayweather coward, crackhead, ebt, women abuser".

The question remains who will Golovkin fight next? Personally I'll boycott a Heiland, O'Sullivan, or T.Johnson level of fighter.

Hopkins is calling for it at 170. I like and hate that fight. Bernard looked horrible vs Kovalev, but he has a history of looking bad in one fight and bouncing back big in the next (Taylor/Tarver, Calzaghe/Pavlik, Dawson/Cloud). And twice Nard has brought up MW's in Pavlik & Wright to fight him at 170 and handled them. Even at 50, Nard's a big name and would give a slight preview towards GGG/SOG.

Lara also stated he wants to return in October, but I think politics kill this fight without even a chance.

Fedor Chudinov recently pulled out of the Buglioni fight with a broken nose. Allegedly Herman inquired about him fighting Golovkin earlier, maybe they've reached an agreement?
