But the truth of the matter in the WW division is that the Mayweather / Pacquiao financials means all the top contenders are avoiding each other and hoping to stay undefeated so they can get a big paycheck. No-one wants a piece of Chavez as he is a tricky customer who makes you look bad but having said that Thurman would be too much for him.
I know!!!! A KD in the 9th then finish him in the 10th

Yup, too bad his "promoter" has no depth of names signed to him at the weight class to make fights.

Who the hell is his promoter? Or is he strictly advised by Haymon?

I've read he has no contract with Golden Boy and I haven't seen anyone else claim him except Al.

          even Berto
          Huh?

Porter and Broner are unavailable, they're fighting eachother, Peterson is a JWW. Is Berto even fighting top level right now? He's like on a rebuilding stage right now. Do you really think Alexander's team is trying to fight Thurman right after losing to Khan?

Berto is on track to fighting Chris Algieri. It would be a good fight and a comeback win for Chris against a 'name' fighter.

Broner vs. Porter was announced only 10-11 days before Collazo vs. Thurman. Assuming the negotiations were of similar length, either could have been an opponent for Thurman, instead of each other (especially porter who has previously said he wants to fight Thurman).

Peterson's last fight was at WW, where he weighed over 160. He also said he wants to remain at WW. Also, with Haymon.

Berto beat Lopez, which is better than anything Collazo has done in years. Also, both are with haymon, thus the fight is possible.

I can't go into the minds of Alexander's team, but he has proven he can compete with the best. He's the only person to win every round against ATG Maidana. Maybe he wants to make big money and challenge himself, consider Ghost did decent against Thurman.

              Huh?

It's laughable to assume the best that could have happened for fans in negotiations would happen. Like you said, they're Haymon managed and Haymon has a plan to maximize his clients profits. You acknowledge that Haymon can make it happen so you assume they should happen which just isn't how it works in the boxing business right now.

Its pretty much easy to predict the type of fight a fighter who just lost will take next. A fight to rebuild.

Haymon has obviously been building Thurman for awhile and Thurman says he takes whatever fight Haymon gives him.

First, you're completely misquoting what I said. I'm not "assuming" anything. Just stating that the fights are possible. Second, I am not hypothetically factoring Haymon's "bidness" plan, or I would have mentioned it. Moreover, it is not "laughable" to think two of the top 10-15 fighters in a weight class that are managed/promoted by the same person can fight. Didn't Haymon just make a fight between the the top two fighters at 140 (Garcia vs. Peterson)? [Albeit at a catchweight.]

Lastly, if I were factoring Haymon's business plan, I would mention how matching up two fighters with only one loss each (broner vs. porter) is not maximizing the fighters respective profits because after the fight one of their stocks will likely significantly decrease. Thus, it would have been better to have showcase fights for both, so they could prospectively make more money at their next fight(s), respectively, and presumably keep their records at 1 loss.

Which has already been proven. Were you being sarcastic or did you not know Thurman already fought Chaves?
