Has there been another prospect as popular and talked about as Verdejo is?

Fernando Vargas headlined an HBO card against Yori Boy Campas 2 years after turning pro, 14 fights in. Mayweather also did the same thing headlining an HBO card after 2 years and being 17-0.

Delahoya was about 10x the star Verdejo is at the same point of their careers.

Yeah the kid has some talent and has a following but he's nowhere near most talked about prospect ever. He's not even the most talked about talent from the 2012 London games.

I'm not, just asking a serious question.

You been ****ting on Verdejo, and rican fans in other posts for no apparent reason and this thread reeks of troll.

            Lol what?

Because I mentioned that it was Pacquiao who retired Margs, and not Cotto? That's Rican bashing?

And all I said about Verdejo is that he was getting hit in a lot of his exchanges with the young Mexican dude. All I said.

Well now I feel slightly embarrassed for making this thread. As I mentioned earlier, I typically do not follow prospects so that's my excuse as to why I thought Verdejo was the most popular. I typically wait till they're higher up the totem pole.

The only ones hyping him are his PR people. Hope he doesn't produce the same idiot and hypocrite fanbase like Cotto's.

You still haven't answered my question, did you?

You been posting a lot **** about rican fans and the only one I recall is areally ******ed one about Verdejo where you posted that Najera wasn't even a real 126 fighter, which is called a featherweight by the way, when the fight was at lightweight and Najera weighted 147 the night of t he fight.

Hey, buddy just name a rican and you show up.

I didn't know Roy Jones, Max Kellerman and Jim Lampley were Ricans.

Right, and that was to combat the exaggerated hype people were giving him. And I quickly edited the post because I meant lightweight, typos happen you know?

I'm not a nationalistic nutjob like you who kneels down before any fighter that shares the same nationality as me.
