What?! Floyds last legit k.o. was against Hatton. Floyd isnt knocking **** out at 154. That being said, you can be elite without knocking fighters out. Example: Floyd. Lara had scores of 120-107 three times. Clean sweep. Albeit against an overmatched foe.

Rodriguez was a cherry pick fight to make Lara look elite and although he won every round Rodriguez was there for the easy finish. Lara was landing at will because clearly Rodriguez threw defense out the window. This reminded me of Hatton/Pac with Hatton clearly throwing defense out the window and an elite fighter like Pac did what an elite fighter should do in those situations. Another was Canelo/Kirkland where Kirkland didn't give any fucs about defense and Canelo finished him off like he should have. Lara needed to make a statement in there and not a UD victory, he failed.

Lara has over a 50% KO ratio, Delvin looked like a lost pup in there and Lara needed to go for the EASY kill to show he is elite. Why box a non threat to a 12 round decision when Delvin could have been finished within 3?

This why I said Lara showed he was levels above Trout. How come Cotto couldn't do that? It doesn't matter, triangle theories don't work, or whatever theory is going on here, that Lara sucks? That he is not aggressive? IDK what is the argument here. But yeah, Cotto destroyed Rodriguez, and Lara didn't. Lara outclassed and almost decapitated Trout at what point, and Cotto seemed to have fought to a Draw with Trout (IMO, close fight, Trout didn't beat Cotto). So they didn't differently than each other vs common opponents, it happens a lot in boxing, but it means nothing head to head.

This was actually a terrible win for Lara IMO. Rodriguez was supposed to make Lara look like an elite fighter but it made him look like only a good fighter. Any elite fighter would have finished Rodriguez off within 3 rounds easy. Going 12 rounds with a guy who showed no defense just shows that Lara isn't elite. Even Floyd would have KO'd this guy in 3 rounds, even at 154.

Floyd is not KO'ing any professional 154lb fighter in 12 rounds, let alone 3 rounds. He'd have to have a chin so bad that he makes Khan's look like prime Margarito's chin.

I think he means all the comments and threads about Lara fighting Mayweather, they were non-existent before the Rodriguez fight, but now that he beat Rodriguez all of a sudden it's a must-see match up. I agree with Larry that it's ******. I am just disagreeing with people tryna put down Lara because he didn't Tyson'ed Rodriguez.
