And fighting Smith on BET is not the way that is going to happen.
What's wrong with Oakland? That's in Cali isn't it? Isn't GGG the "draw"? So why would it matter where the fight happens? If he's the "draw" hell fill arenas ANYWHERE he goes.

While most of the top flight contenders had been reluctant to step forward to provide any answers, Stevens ran to the front of the line. Fighting out of Brownsville, Brooklyn, Stevens had been one of the most decorated amateurs in New York City. Like Golovkin, Stevens was noted for his heavy hands and knockout power."
Aaaaaand what happened there?.....after that fight, I guess Stevens went from being legit to just being another "bum"....go figure...

I'm not sure at what point in boxing history it became cool to call out smaller fighters and accuse them of ducking you, but I'm not buying it.
Let's break this down. Ward cleans out super middle, great job, then what does he do? He fights twice in 3 years, moves up to a catchweight of 172, and calls out guys from a LOWER weight class? Then he gets salty because they have better things to do with their careers?
Ward is a tremendous boxer, but he is delusional. He is irrelevant to what is going on at 160. His best bet for relevance is fighting Kovalev. So, how many excuses do you have not to fight Kovalev, Ward?

The Cotto fans love this! Their hoping Ward will protect Cotto from GGG
I completely agree with Ward on the competition level bcuz i preach that ish like its the gospel. With GGG comp level, i dont believe he can go to 168 and make easy work of the top guys there..bcuz of their comp level.
However, GGG does deserve a shot at Cotto and i fully support that. I dont see how Cotto over Geale is getn rated higher than GGG over Geale..the hype machine(media)

Im sorry, but all I see here is a guy who's career has gone stagnant, hasn't fought since 2013,has already cleaned out his division, and refuses to move up,while at the same time calling out a smaller fighter, while he himself is fighting a bum on bet. Say what you want, but this is nothing more and nothing less that ward using GGGs name,in order to hype up his next fight. If he calls out GGG after he wins, then I'll take him seriously, but until then,he's just going to be blowing smoke, and continuing with his 2-3 Oakland tuneups.

Second off, Ward hasn't beat a top level guy in 3 and half years. Live in the now.
Third, understand what market value means. It's the reason Andre Ward has to fight on a BET time buy - losing his promoter money, where Golovkin can fight a guy like Willie Monroe and do better gate and tv numbers than Andre Ward did vs Chad Dawson in his hometown. Peace!
When has Golovkin ever beaten fighters on that level? Live in the ever. Monroe and Rubio were terrible fights and did nothing for for a so called "pound for pound" fighter.

OMG.... GGG is gonna fight Froch
and its not called "babbling", its called FACTS.
He has a list of Super Welterweights he fought when they had NO fights at 160 or like 1 or 2 fights at 160. Ishida, Rosado, Ouma, Tapia & Nunez.
Nunez was for the interim title, he had ZERO/0 fights at Middleweight. Tapia was for the vacant WBA title, he had 2 fights at 160. Defended his WBA title vs Ouma, who only had ONE fight at 160. Rosado had zero fights at 160 & Ishida had one fight at 160 weighing in at 157
