If Ward wants the fight, all he has to do is accept being the B side, take B side money and not fight in Oakland. If he expects to be paid upwards of 2 million, have the fight in Oakland with his ref and his judges, then he will have to work his way back into the picture in a VERY BIG WAY. And fighting Smith on BET is not the way that is going to happen.

So much wrong here. Fact is, Ward has proven himself. I have no issue with him taking a soft touch after such a long layoff. What's Gennady's excuse? What bum is he going to trot out next?

My guess would be whichever "bum" has the balls to face him....hey, wasn't Curtis Stevens supposed to test (some said expose) GGG?...to quote an article:

Damn i like GGG thiink hes the goods but his fans are something else.

The man is 33....33! You fans should want him in the ring with Lara and Ward type fighters, not be making excuses for him to not step up his competetion

Yep, you nailed it in a very concise manner. As fans we want boxers to jump up all the time but once you get past welterweight, and as long as boxers don't hit a roadblock in their own division, the majority don't move up as they lose a % of their power and yet are fighting against stronger opponents. Only the supremely gifted fighters move up with impunity. As much as I like GGG, as much as I give him maximum kudos for entertainment value, he has yet to prove himself to be supremely gifted in my eyes. Very gifted yes, supremely gifted the jury is still out.
I would suggest that Ward is extremely gifted so if he isn't going to move up to LHW immediately I would certainly hope that come the end of his career he will be able to look back and say he fought the best at LHW.

Ward has a hard road ahead of him.... Even dough I think he will outpoint GGG it's not going to be an easy fight it's going to be rough and after he takes care of that he has a "Monster" in Kovalev waiting for him at 175 and if he gets pass that there's some other young Russian kid that's knocking everybody out coming up, even dough it's a scary road it's the perfect ingredients for a Great Legacy if he gets it done, we sha'll see.

Fights a guy coming from multiple losses.
Fights at 172 catch weight.
Fights on BET.
Begged himself for Chaves Jr. fight.
Begged himself for Froch fight.
His trainer said that they need at list 2 tuneups before daring to fight a guy from lower weight class.
Want to be an A side.
Wants to fight in his backyard.

I remember that when Ward called Golovkin out the first time, he said Golovkin is making $300 k per fight and GGG should be very glad to make about $500 k when fighting him... I wonder what figure Ward has in mind this time.

Ward is no long the A-side or draw in the fight. He needs to re-build on HBO but when he does, he'll take that 0 and hand GGG his first loss

Call out his opponent, but compare him to GGG'S opponents... the hate is real - he broke his views down as intelligently as he could - served it straight with no chaser and all the hate pours in! **** saying wake up - more like grow up! ****in lol. Ward was talkin so much junk during his time off when he knew he wasn't gettin in the ring with nobdy. Now this 172lb ass wants GGG to come up and meet him when he can't even get HBO to air his upcoming ****fest? What's in it for GGG?

Nah at this point I'm more interested in Froch/GGG and hopefully at some point in the not to distance future Ward/Kovalev @ 175.

It truly saddens me as a boxing fan that guys like Golovkin and Rigondeaux are being told to move up in weight solely because people in their division are avoiding them like the plague. Its sad that people with so much ability are deprived with the chance to reach their potential due to politics. That's boxing I suppose - unfortunately.
