GGG is hyped but boxing novices cant see the obvious because they only hear the hype and dont see the fighters glaring weaknesses because they don't know boxing and don't know what to look for.
Lemieux has a puncher's chance exacerbated by Golovkin's tendency to walk towards the fire.

However, Lemieux's punch resistance does not mirror that of Golovkin's so that when they exchange it is likely (but not certain) that Lemieux will be the one who hits the canvas.

It is an exciting match-up, guaranteed action.

If lemieux tightens up his defense learns to roll with punches and adds more wrinkles to his game/becomes more versatile. He would be a real threat to ggg and anyone in the division. Lemieux is not only a hard puncher he is a precision puncher. He knows when and how to properly place shots which makes him more dangerous. I would first though like to see him in with fighters like jacobs and kid chocolate before he faces ggg.

This will give me an idea about how well he takes a punch now and if his overall game has improved. His ability to make adjustments in the fight with ggg will be crucial. If he can do that he can win and may even shock some people. GGG is more hype than substance has many flaws and is one dimensional.Simply put hes a hype job,he would have never been a champ in haglers era. Marvin would have chewed him up and spit him out. He wouldn't have even gotten past the likes of hamsho, mugabi, roldan or fully obel in my opinion. He is reaping the accolades and rewards from fighting in a very weak MW era.

Marvin Hagler close to his prime.

This post presents a contradiction in itself. GGG is "all hype", but in order to beat him this poster had to bring possibly the greatest MW ever, Marvin Hagler. This just shows how he really feels about GGG. He is scared for his favorites and has to resort to praying and mantras...

With officials from Canada & home town advantage Lemieux must be about 60% favoured to beat N'Dam. So yeah make the GGG fight next!

Rhinoceros vs Buffalo both powerful bastards who can do damage but one is clearly the better.

... Lemieux doesn't fight GGG next... many have Golovkin "in the mix" but don't fight him NEXT...

You sound absurd no contradictions here. I also pointed out that ggg would lose to hamsho, fully obel, mugabi and roldan as well. I simply used marvin hagler as an example of what a real all time great with no hype surrounding him should look like in terms of dominance, skill and accomplishment. I provided links to marvins fights to point out the glaring and obvious superior skill level that marvin possesses in comparison to the plodding one dimensional fighter that ggg is. GGG comes across as a good guy and I feel for all the adversity he has been through and really want him to be successful because of these things. But when they begin to compare him to the greatest MW ever in marvin hagler I will not keep silent in the face of such sacrilege and blasphemy. And my point is still clear, based on my own observations, ggg is a good fighter that is more hype than substance. But based on my observations he will never be an all time great, he does not have the necessary intangibles to be considered an all time great. Maybe a hall of fame fighter, but not an all time great.

If you took any of the greats... Leonard, Hagler, Duran, etc... and moved them into today, they would be hyped as much as anyone else in the world is today if not more. People really have to get a handle on this comparing today's fighters with those of the past, There is no possible way to know how the fights would turn out and those kind of comparisons are foolish. Would we still be looking at Ali as the Greatest if Teo Stevenson had defected and turned pro?

                  Montreal fight next for GGG?
Golovkin is the champ and he is travelling everywhere without any fear, this is what separates him out from the other champions.

Rubio made Lemieux his woman. Imagine what Golovkin will do. Golovkin needs to find his nuts and challenge King Andre Ward.

I agree. N'Dam is a very talented boxer who is slick enough to make Lemieux miss.
