Eddie Hearn : "Looks Like Carl Froch Hangs Up The Gloves & Retires"

Those comments are 6 months old at least, and really speak for themselves. Just shows Froch himself doesnt see it as a stroll in the park, unlike that poster. And also sheds light on Gggs resume, if a guy like Froch would rather swerve him

What, so he has to stay around and keep fighting everyone that calls him out? Perhaps he should keep fighting until the grave, then.Originally posted by Foreign Soil View PostFroch is doing a worse version of what he cried about Calzaghe doing. Funnily enough, he would've lost to both GGG and Joe C., badly.

Of course its his choice if he wants to retire, just like it was JCs.
But I think even Froch would have preferred to know when he is fighting he can say this is my last fight for sure. That way his fans can celebrate the last fight they will see him in. For instance he could have said the Groves fight is his last fight before he signed the contract and went onto to ko Groves.
Similar to Floyd saying his next fight is his last fight, but we know it isn't. His last fight is a rematch with Pac at the very least.

No, he doesn't have to but he owes Joe C an apology, and his nuthuggers can get off the back of GGG since he can't even get a normally willing Froch to face him, even in his own backyard. Yikes...Originally posted by yoz View PostWhat, so he has to stay around and keep fighting everyone that calls him out? Perhaps he should keep fighting until the grave, then.

'Normally willing' is the key here.Originally posted by Foreign Soil View PostNo, he doesn't have to but he owes Joe C an apology, and his nuthuggers can get off the back of GGG since he can't even get a normally willing Froch to face him, even in his own backyard. Yikes...
He's no longer in his normal position. He's lost the competitive fire, he turns 38 in a few weeks, he hasn't fought in over a year, he has given up his belts....He's going to retire.
Calzaghe refused to fight his domestic rival to retire. George Groves was Carl Froch's equivalent, Froch fought him, and beat him, twice before retiring. It's not the same situation.

I didnt think you would have to type all of this to get that through. Joe C was fighting others who were not good enough rather than fight his domestic rival, Eubank fought Joe C and gave him his chance at a bigger name, Joe C didnt do the same shame, like you said Froch fought his domestic rival in Groves not once but twice.................So case close, his heart is not in it please retire gracefully.Originally posted by gmc_rfc_06 View Post'Normally willing' is the key here.

He complained about Calzaghe not fighting him as his mandatory.Originally posted by Foreign Soil View PostFroch is doing a worse version of what he cried about Calzaghe doing. Funnily enough, he would've lost to both GGG and Joe C., badly.
Froch fought back-to-back mandatories against Groves

Ummm that was because Groves went to IBF and forced his hand. Froch was more than content on moving on.Originally posted by Dirk Diggler UK View PostHe complained about Calzaghe not fighting him as his mandatory.
