That's a shame to hear, but he's been out of the ring for a while and at his age, it's probably wise to retire.

Best of luck to him if he does, he's had a hell of a career and is HOF bound imo.

Seems like Froch doesn't want to let go but at the same time doesn't have the hunger to continue. He should hang them up, he has taken enough punches.

At least he's one step closer to accepting retirement. It's time to stop flirting with the thought and just get on with it. Martinez seems to have made his decision, and I wish Marquez would finally make his.

I wish he'd have had one more farewell fight in the UK.

It's definitely his time, no doubt about it. Marquez's knees are messing with him, so it's time for him too. He'll know it once he gets beat up by a younger guy like Crawford.

I think this is the perfect time to call it quits. He shouldn't make the same mistake as J.M.Marquez who fought on after that Pacquiao KO losing to Bradley and ruining that momentum. I doubt Juan can get that big of a high again. Froch had a great moment/event and I doubt anything tops that.

He said in a very recent interview that he'd probably only entertain Ward in the UK or no fight at all. Said he'd likely lose, but if he is to fight anyone he'd like it to be Ward in Nottingham.

Going to see if I can find it in my viewing history. Very good and very honest interview - as always.

Can't blame him tbh. He's had a great career. I learnt to appreciate him late.
