It's running when you literally have to turn your back to get away. Turning your back on your opponent isn't boxing. That means your're running.


I dont get why people defend these low output fighters. As a boxing fan you should want fighters to let their hands go. Get the most out of your money.

IT's hit and dont get hit, not hit and run. And like another poster said "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee". All the ATG are like that, even W.Pep. He let his hands go compared to the fighters of today. He wasn't a runner, he evaded punches, and looked to come back with punches of his own. People bring up Ali, but he also let his hands go.

If you like that stuff, call it what it really is and say you prefer the amateur point system over the pros. Nothing wrong with that.

If the tables were reversed and Cotto was fighting Rodriguez after Lara KO'd him these boards would be annihilating Cotto non stop 24/7. But Lara gets a pass, funny stuff.

It's more due to the fact that people actually care about Cotto, not so much about Lara tbh. I like Lara too but its the truth.
