Who that leaves, i don't know. Not many good fights at all for Ward at 168.
So you want to see Ward get the *** beat out of him by Kovalev?

He already fought heavier as an amateur then came back down as a pro so don't be so sure

KRUSHER because ward said anyone from 168-175, 3 years ago, then when kova called him out he backed out like a biitch. also keep in mind ward fought at 178 in Olympics.

Its the 15th paragraph, ward said anyone from 168-175
        http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...ard-bout-works

Here are three occasions where Kovalev/team called ward out,
The last top light heavyweight to challenge Andre Ward was Chad Dawson, who was the lineal champion at 175 when he boiled down to 168 for a Ward bout. Dawson’s team afterward said that making weight had hurt him; Ward dominated Dawson and scored a 10th-round technical knockout. Sergey Kovalev’s team was asked about possibly facing Ward shortly after shut out Bernard Hopkins. Kovalev makes 175 fairly easily — trainer John David Jackson said his fighter comes into camp in the mid 180s and was at about 179 pounds with four weeks to go. HBO’s unofficial scales had Kovalev rehydrating from about 174 to 188 pounds on fight night.

Stevenson-Kovalev for the time being is another fight that the world of boxing may never got to see. Stevenson is scheduled to take on Andrez Fonfora in May of this year on Showtime. While Kovalev took care of business on HBO, it seems like his next move is uncertain. His promoter Kathy Duva feels that

        Its the 6th question

So WARDOS, is he ducking KRUSHER or not ???

I'm a big Ward fan, and it pains me to see that since he climbed as high as #2 P4P, he has fought once in virtually the last 3 years...and that fight was against Edwin Rodriguez...smh

"Going up to light heavyweight for the right fight -- not to campaign up there, but for the right fight -- is an option. So we've just got to sit back and see what makes sense. I think I earned the right to pick the right fight for the right price."
                Andre Ward - 12/21/2011
So what's the 'right' fight? He said that and 9 months later made the LHW champ Dawson who was coming off a victory over Hopkins, drain down and fight him at 168. I don't see the guy who refused to travel during the S6 taking Kovalev anytime soon. He'll fight Rubio, Medina, or Periban this year, unless RN takes out the money for someone like Golovkin.

                  From April 2013...

I want to [challenge for a world heavyweight title], I've talked about that since I've been a kid, Ward said, apparently straight-faced. It seems crazy right now, but I'm not gonna be [one-hundred and] sixty-eight [pounds] forever
You got to fight the right heavyweight, he admitted, but added: As a fighter, I believe I could beat a Klitschko I'm wired to believe that, I think it could happen, absolutely.

Ward is 173, he's not trying anything out lol he just can't be bothered to drain himself for a non title showcase tuneup fight.

I truly believe that he will go undefeated with today's crop of competition so it's not a matter of what order he takes them in, but that he keeps active. Granted, he should probably clear all doubts at 168 before moving up because going back down tends to cause problems for guys. I'd say, get Golovkin to fight him in 2016 since Genady claims to want it. Then go up and school Stevenson, Kovalev, etc. I think he's already 31 so he's going to be battling father time soon and needs to make his legacy cemented in the next 4 years. That's not a lot of time considering how difficult it is to get championship fights negotiated these days.
