    Cotto-Geale 3rd highest rated HBO

NSB had an article but when you click the comments link it says "invalid thread" some shit like that. Anyway here's the link to that article.

With a mouthwatering showdown versus Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez waiting in the wings, Miguel Cotto did his part both in the ring and on the dial. The Puerto Rican superstar enjoyed a triumphant return to New York and regular HBO, as his 4th round knockout of Daniel Geale on June 6 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn pulled in an average of 1.589 million viewers, peaking at 1.621 million viewers. The total surpassed Cotto’s previous HBO appearance, when his 3rd round stoppage of Delvin Rodriguez in Oct. ’13 played to 1.555 million viewers for the highest rated boxing telecast of 2013. Saturday’s headliner versus Geale is good for the third-highest rated premium cable bout of 2015, with only Alvarez and Wladimir Klitschko enjoying better ratings.

Miguel Cotto is the A-side because Miguel Cotto gets ratings.

            Canelo's 2.1mill rating ****s on Cotto's 1.6mill. Canelo's 20k+ gates do aswell to Cotto's 12k gates. A-side decided.

Only caveat Cotto has, is that Canelo needs him. But Cotto is B-side no question.

Ratings have been huge this year compared to the last few. I hope that lasts as the memory of Mayweather/Pacquiao fades.

This was expected, Cotto's name rings bells. I'm surprised at HBO's consistent ratings this year, wonder how long it'll last.

Not against Canelo. Canelo got higher PPV buys/ratings vs common fighters such Mayweather and Trout. And his last HBO fight on Kirkland got much higher ratings then Cotto did this weekend. His fight also attracted a much higher gate. Cotto didn't even sell out the Barclays. Canelo did like 30,000 in attendance and filled out a ball park. Canelo has proven he has a bigger fanbase then Cotto.
