You keep repeating this nonsense yet HBO's Floyd vs Pac re-air got half the ratings that Canelo did on HBO. And if people just wanted to see a re-air of that fight then why did Showtime which also re-aired the fight bombed in the ratings? Despite having and advertising a exclusive interview with Floyd after the fight? People tuned in massive numbers to watch Canelo. Just like more people tuned in to buy Canelo vs Floyd then Cotto vs Floyd. One is clearly the bigger Star and box office draw. And it ain't Cotto.

Danny vs Luke was a way bigger fight. One of the most anticipated fights in yrs.

golovkin-munroe jr drew a 1.34m average and 1.47m peak, and cotto-geale drew a 1.59m average and 1.62m peak. they really aren't that far apart any more.

meanwhile, alvarez-kirkland drew a 2.15m average and a 2.3m peak. it's clear that he is the biggest draw within the middleweight limits by some margin.

Damn, talk about GRASPING AT STRAWS...Neilsen ratings show peak times ...so it can be determined when most people tuned it...I don't think (just an opinion) that 2 mil people watched the replay of the tripe that was May-Pac but I'm sure you can look it up and find out...speaking of, you do know May-Pac was replayed on SHO that same evening as well, right? I wonder how it did in the ratings there....

In conclusion, factually (not opinion) Canelo surpassed Cotto in ratings....wouldn't one of your typical responses apply hear? "Yeah! Like a Boss!"...

it was supposed to be more competitive, but it was big only for hardcore fans, neither was big among the casuals, thats the reason neither has ever headlined a ppv ... canelo and mosley were bigger draws than danny and lucas... there was more fans rooting for young canelo than floyd, cotto or mosley that night.. you cant say the same about danny or lucas...

Great news. As far as Cotto-Canelo, I'm not concerned about A side or B side. I'm just hoping the fight gets made. They're both big stars. I will say though, the opponent helps too. Kirkland is an is an incredibly exciting American fighter who has won action packed fights on HBO. Geale is not American obviously, and he just got blasted his last time on HBO.

golovkin did unusually low numbers against geale iirc, so maybe cotto would have done slightly more with someone else

People comparing numbers who gives a **** really. The point is, they are both 2 stars with fan friendly styles who are going to go to war in a few months. I don't cares who's a or b. Leave that to them. Just make it happen.
