Probably shot but he did used to be more of a boxer at the lower weights where he was better. Now he's turned into a brawler as he moved up in weight which is odd.

What has he done at Welterweight anyway? He's dining out on beating Berto which was over 2 years ago and the fact he shared a ring with Floyd. It wouldn't be unfair to say his best days were quite a long time ago now and at lower weight classes.

Did you see the fight though? Martinez had short crisp shots on the inside. It looked to me as if he trained primarily for a phone booth war. Ghost only had success when he lengthened his shots, because he was getting beat on the inside. Also Martinez got tired.

Records are fine and all, but the fight tells a different story than the statistics. Martinez was a young man that realized this was his shot, so he gave everything he had. Honestly think Ghost barely lost a war... Would have been decisively if Martinez hadn't gassed.

Easy to downplay Martinez, but stylistically he was all wrong for Robert.

At this point, f**k no. I like Ghost, seems like a good dude, but at this point I'd bet f**king anything that Rios beats his ass. Rios is basically a better version of Guerrero at this point, which is more of an indictment on how far Guerrero has fallen off more so that anything on Bam Bam's part.

I always liked Guerrero and have followed him for a long time, but he is definitely past his best. He was better at lower divisions, and looked a lot sharper when he was younger as well. I'm happy to see him get good paydays, but I think he should call it quits before he gets hurt.

He is clearly past his best buy date. If he were a milk carton you would return him with the bill and demand a refund because the milk spoiled. His punch resistance is going and his reflexes are shot. What else is the definition of shot?

I think it's clear he never belonged at 147. He's slow and doesn't look "hard" at that weight. He's a great fighter to watch and I'd rather see Guerrero go out there and show heart than watch Lara, Rigo, and other conservative bores box amateur point style.
We can only hope Guerrero moves to 140 where he can go back to having movement and versatility. 147 is an unhealthy dead end for him, IMO. Sure, he'll win some but he's not the sharp fighter he was at lower weights.

He needs to get with a new trainer because his dad can only take him so far and if he wants to continue fighting at 147 he needs to be sharper because trying to brawl it out isn't good for his health at this point. He's taking too much punishment against lesser fighters.

I think Guerrero could make 140 and he would probably be a bit stronger down there. He needs to toss his dad aside and maybe even think about heading to Virgil Hunter.

You can't be a boxer at the lower weights then become a brawler at the higher weights, it doesn't work like that, his power is really low for welterweight, my suggestion would be to move down to 140 where his power can earn his opponents' respect a little bit, welterweights will steam roll through him.

Also he needs to re consider having his dad as his trainer, I never heard his dad give him 1 right piece of advice in the corner, this dad son combination will only take u so far especially if the dad himself never fought before, same with Danny Garcia and Angel Garcia, same with Zab Judah and his dad, one day these fighters will have to get a trainer with experience that can take them to the next level, you always have to evolve and adjust ur style based on ur current attributes and level of opposition, what Guerrero used to do against C level featherweights and lightweights won't be possible to do against B and A level welterweights.

He was beat up against Yoshihiro Kamegai and Thurman, he needs some time off to recharge.
