Instead, we get 300,000.

# of PPV flops:
Cotto: 3, maybe 4
GGG: zero
# of times knocked OUT:
Cotto: 2
GGG: zero
# of losses:
Cotto: 4
GGG: zero
KO percentage:
Cotto: 75%
GGG: 91%
Olympic history:
Cotto: Eliminated 1st round
GGG: Won Silver medal
Amateur record:
Cotto: 125-23
GGG: 345-5
Everything I stated was fact, but can be interpreted differently, depending on which agenda you are pursuing.
1: It's easy to not have any PPV flops if you didn't fight on PPV yet.
2: It's easy to not get knocked out when your best opponent up to date is Martin Murray. It's harder when you fought the likes of prime Pacquiao or MArgarito with plaster gloves on.
3: Again: It's easier to remain unbeaten against the likes of Geale, Murray and Adama than against the likes of Mayweather or Pacquiao. It's not a knock on Golovkin because I don't think that his levelof opposition is mainly his fault, but these are the facts.
4: Newflash! It's easier to score KO-s against mid tier opponents than against elite opponents and it's also easier to score KO-s in one single weight class than in four different. Let's see if Golovkin goes to lhw or cruiser how many knockouts he will score...
These were widely well known facts too
5: Who the fuck cares about the Olympics? The question was "who is ore popular/is a bigger star. How is the Olympics relevant here?
6: Who the fuck cares about amateur achievements here? We are talking about PROFESSIONAL boxing here and more specifically about who is the bigger name not bout amateur records.
Sorry but your post was just plain ******.

GGG has the bigger upside in my opinion. Miguel Cotto will never be a crossover star but if GGG keeps winning he will be there in a year or less. Everyone I know who has seen him fight wants to see him again.

How do you think Cotto would draw in Germany, where GGG fought most of his pro career, after 2 years? Think there are a lot of Puerto Ricans over in Europe? Or maybe Moscow? Think Cotto will ever be invited to headline a fight in Monaco? No, I don't either.
If comparing Golovkin's US numbers to other fighters fighting out of the US is no longer kosher, why still waste the time with comparing Golovkin to anyone but Felix Sturm?
