        There were over 4.4 million people who paid $100 to see Mayweather/Pacquaio because the fight was big enough to charge that much money and draw that many people.

        Cotto/Alvarez is not even big enough to attract one million PPVs buys at $60 each. Saying it won't cost $100 is the equivalent of saying that we won't overcharge you for this pack of used napkins.

            since none of that money goes to my pockets, the cheaper the better...
            but i get it, nowadays affordable boxing is bad for the sport and its fans...

                  I think you're underestimating how many Mexicans with cable TV live in the US.

                    That 100 dollar PPV will be put back in the drawer for another 10 years, if it had been a great event I think every promoter around would try to cash in on 100 dollar PPV by putting their guys against whoever it took to get them some buys at that price.
