These idiots just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper and are not bright enough to realize it.

And weighing below would bring up safety concerns...thoughts anybody?
I think you can weight up to 15 pounds below mw ma and still fight in the division if you like.

That's right. The left hook put Geale down. The head butt did not and I'll ask you again; Geale never used the head butt as an excuse or factor. So why are you?

This is coming from a guy who doesn't understand that sanctioning bodies bend the rules and always have. I would say you are the one who is not too swift.

Geale was good, just never great. You can't deny a guy with his resume as never being any good. Draining down does impact a fighter's ability. Roach and Cotto admitted that all week.

I've said multiple times in the weeks leading up to this that Cotto would beat Geale even at 160 due to the hand speed difference. The weight drain just made it worse. We've seen it before with Ward/Dawson. Guys lose reaction time and punch resistance.

Geale wants to be able to look his girl in the eyes tonight, and not have her think of him as a beta to Cotto's alpha. Hence, the excuses...

              Pride...

He was simply never on Cotto's level and I am starting to suspect, neither is GGG.

And I'll tell you again, it didn't help Geale. He was stunned by a headbutt then disconnected by the hook. You can't argue (or shouldn't anyways) that the headbutt didn't help accumulate damage with the hook.

This is one of the ******est things I have ever read in this forum, weights are anything but "optical illusions".

I get what ur saying about divisional limits, Fighters all have differnet optimum fightn weights and they dont usually fight in the class that maximizes the performance but rather fight in a class where they would have a size advantage. Weight classes were intended to protect fighters as well as create a fair playing field.

It all comes down to the fighter though, if the fighter has trouble making the weight theyre in the wrong class. Another solution-dont agree to the weight.

He weighed in at over 180 for the actual fight, had probably 20 pounds on Cotto.
