Team GGG might have some people gassed but others see through their bs....they make it seem like fighting Cotto is about the belt...it's more about the money....that's why they prefer Chavez Jr. and Froch at 168 instead of Ward...they claim there's not enough bread in a Ward fight...so I wish the GGG fans stop talking about the belt...those dudes wanna get paid some REAL bread....Cotto has turned them into crumb snatchers

The stage is almost set for a fall mega-fight between Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez of Mexico.

But before that can happen, at least for Cotto's WBC middleweight title, a deal must be reached with WBA/IBO champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin.

Golovkin is the mandatory challenger to Cotto's WBC title. The sanctioning body ordered the winner of Cotto vs. Daniel Geale to face Golovkin next. Cotto stopped Geale in four rounds on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

GGG needs to be a good boy & go with the flow here. Cotto quit effing with Oscar & Canelo over making that fight in May cuz they were trying to act like it was only about Canelo. GGG don't bring the money Canelo brings so he just needs to chill out & wait. He's not gonna push Cotto into a decision & the one of the biggest names in the sport would be ****** to commit to any fight that isn't a HUGE fight for him.

If Floyd comes calling or Pacquiao comes calling or if Canelo vs Cotto is some epic **** & they wanna rematch right away Cotto's team don't want GGG in the way of any of that sorta **** & all that **** pays better. GGG is fun as **** to watch & I feel bad for the brother that he hasn't gotten that big fight yet, but he ain't gonna get it the why his team is trying to play their hand & rightfully so with how the boxing business works & it'll work that same way for GGG if he ever gets to that point so he needs to learn.

I don't care about GGG VS Cotto. Canelo Vs Cotto is a Big fight and it's a really a Jr.Middleweight fight. Just force him to stop hogging up that WBC Title and everything is good. Then the IBF Middleweight Title holder is up next.

If Cotto is the lineal Champ, then fight at 160, not a catch weight. Same for Canelo.

At the end of the day, they both fear GGG as GGG fears moving to 168.

If GGG was afraid of 168, he would not have an offer open to Froch now would he? Fighting Froch he actually has to worry about getting hit back, against Ward he just has to worry about running out of gas chasing him around the ring.

GGG NEVER said it was too soon for Ward. That was taken out of context during an interview when GGG was preparing for a fight and he did not wish to talk about anyone other than the upcoming fight. He meant that he was not looking past his next opponent, very similar to what Cotto did in the past week by not wanting to discuss Canelo before the Geale fight.

Yes, you are correct. It is pointless to attempt to argue fair play with people who would probably steal candy from children and then brag about it on the net. I am adding them to my ignore list one after another. Must be about 30 on there now if you include all the ALTs I've added who no longer post. Once Cotto fights a live body instead of a zombie and gets his ass handed to him, we will no longer have to read their posts as they will run and cry themselves to sleep and come back with a new alt. In the meantime, the ignore list makes reading the board much better. As soon as javi pays his bet, he will be added to it as well.

A spot on the undercard would be beneficial to both. More exposure for GGG and they won't have a crap undercard.... but we all know it will just be Cotto and Canelo promotion prospects.... undercard is gonna suck balls

What I believe is.....

Cotto fighting Golovkin, is at least as demanding as Golovkin fighting Ward.

I believe that should Cotto beat Canelo, then he will fight Golovkin.

But I believe that Golovkin will never fight Ward/Dirrell/Lara, or any top mover/puncher.

Golovkin will beat up the tough guys, no problem.

I can see whats up with Team GGG, Golovkin is extremely well-managed.

Not a huge Canelo fan but..... everyone said that Canelo will never step up, and that he will never be a real champion. Well since turning the corner, Canelo has fought the very best opposition, directly against the instructions/wishes of his management team, especially the Lara fight.

Golovkin will never do that, like Canelo/Mayweather do.
