I agree, I had it 60/40 in Canelo's favour, now I have it 55/45 in his favour. Ignoring the fact it was Geale, his evasiveness along with his willingness and skills when boxing impressed me.

Cotto has faster hands, faster feet, better defense, better footwork, more experience, better on the inside, better on the outside, better in the pocket.

Stamina is even but I actually think Cotto might have the edge in that too. I'd say they are even in power as well, and given that Cotto is KO'ing MW's, drained or not, I'm inclined to think he might have more but I'd call it even.

The only thing I'd say Canelo does better than Cotto is... really nothing. He has a better chin but when it comes to boxing and what to do in the ring. Cotto literally has every advantage. It's a 9-3 type schooling or possible Cotto KO. The Canelo hype is out of control around here, he's still the same guy because he has the same corner. He lose to any A level and elite fighters with them in the corner.

I think cotto hits harder. Canelo unloads on guys like Angulo and can't put them down, cotto hurts guys with single shots.

The fact that you think Canelo has better defense, which is sitting in the ropes longer than Cotto ever did, your opinion doesn't really matter.

However, we have to remember. He had Daniel Geale in front if him last night. Daniel Geale is the epitome of average while Cotto has proven he's atleast two levels above Geale.
Cotto's defense was top notch last night....he had too much Crisco for Geale lol

Why? Cotto is still a level or two above Canelo and that still holds true now. You had this fight right all along Beer. Cotto by clear UD with a KD in there.

                  Thoughts?

I think that once Canelo unloads that first combo on Cotto, he will be on his bike. Don't get me wrong, Cotto should make it competitive through the first 3 rounds but he will take damage early and be hurt by the 4th round. Canelo stops him around the 8th round after massive swelling to the face, Cotto's corner stops the action.

Very good fight, close and competitive. TBH, I don't know who's gonna win, but I do know it won't be easy for either man.
