If Froch retires, or finds a bigger fight for himself that's good for him, great career, like I said obviously no obligation to fight Golovkin who is in a weight class below him (although it's kinda weird you constantly say Golovkin and his team avoid 154 pound Lara but that's another story).
Because Lara is a lower reward fight so they're obviously not that keen. Why wouldn't they call out the big names? They either want to get paid or we'll get more Willie Jr type opponents. Lara would be something of a middle ground but Golovkin's team don't seem willing to go there.

It's Carl Froch's decision on what he wants to do with his career.

He's under no obligation to fight or give Golovkin a payday
No he isn't but why even mention him at all then? All we hear from Froch is that he wants to fight in Vegas, he doesn't need to fight for the money as he is wealthy already and that most of all it needs to be someone that motivates him.

He admitted that GGG motivates him a lot. He knows that that fight could be put on in Vegas and he knows he is the A side so he will make good money for the perceived risk.

Whats not to like? Put up or shut up Froch.

It was Froch who started mentioning Golovkin in terms of a fight after he thought he saw weaknesses during the Monroe fight. GGG's team were on his case immediately and Hearn started talking the fight up too. Now Froch and Hearn have gone silent on GGG, and Froch, who was dismissive of De Gale before he won his title, saying that he can't get out of bed to train for a De Gale fight as it's not motivating, suddenly has this big interest in fighting De Gale.

Join the dots mate - Froch dismisses DeGale saying he doesn't motivate me, he needs to be "motivated" ..... Gets his name in the news mentioning GGG ..... GGG says no problem ...... Suddenly DeGale motivates him.

Because Froch was asked by interviewers about Golovkin. Do fans not understand this? How many times does it need to be explained? It's not like he's gone on a big podium and started randomly ranting about Golovkin.

He's been asked constantly about his future and he's mulling his options.

Froch said he's making an announcement soon. He doesn't work to anyone else's schedule. Team Golovkin can jabber all they want, it doesn't really matter to Froch. He probably has more important things to do....like gardening.

DeGale didn't motivate him before because a win over DeGale didn't mean anything at the time. Now DeGale has a better win on his resume than any of Golovkins' wins and he has his old world title. DeGale got a huge reception at the 02 last week, a place where he used to get booed out the building - the fight is obviously bigger now. How can you not get that?

I go with the route of being quiet until there's some kind of announcement from Froch, wasn't this week because he still didn't met with Hearn and his family. At least that what I know.

I'm curious about the next opponent for GGG, if not Froch. What can we have in MW that represents a "threat" to Golovkin?

Froch is just weighing up what he wants; GGG in Vegas to realise a "dream" or in UK to stack things as much in his favour as possible. If he fights again it will almost certainly be GGG as he said the thought of it excites him.
A fight with Degale doesn't. Yes, it would sell out out a big arena in Uk but so what, he's already done that.
Going up against GGG appeals to Froch's image of himself as "a warrior"!

You're not Froch's PR agent are you? I've never seen someone twist as much as you trying to defend the barely defensible.

Now you'll have us believe that the belts he was stripped of and gave up because they are not important to him and he couldn't get motivated to defend them against the likes of Degale is the very same belt that now acts as a motivation to fight that very same DeGale. You're scraping.

As a frequent guest on Sky Sports Froch is NOT naive when it comes to speaking in front of the media - ergo he knows that when he is asked a question by an interviewer his reply goes far beyond any utterance he might make from "a big podium" and he is in fact broadcasting to the World media.

Lets hope that while Froch is planting pansies on the garden he can come to some conclusion soon. He's a big name but lets face it Canelo's and Cotto's are much larger names so if by some miracle either of them grows a pair Froch might be left tending his precious garden or scrabbling to get back his IBF belt.

The Queen will pose in Playboy before Froch meets GGG

Froch isn't fighting GGG ever. Froch as the typical loud mouthed Brit just wants to talk. Froch was the 1-B champ at 168lbs anyway and never a true champion. Brits are jokes and always will be jokes. Brook and DeGale are 1-C champs also.
