When did he say "I'm going to beat him down"? Don't remember that. He was asked about a potential fight against Golovkin and obviously feels confident he'd beat him but he's also considering retirement.

Can't blame Golovkin for this but some of you prob will and say fight Andre Ward. Ward can barely sell out Oracle Arena. If they do fight, GGG deserves the lion's share. Just put it this way Ward hasn't fought in 2 yrs and his next fight is on BET that's all I gotta say. Furthermore, if Cotto is not a true middle why does he have one of the most treasured belts. If he fights someone else, even DeGale, not the best look given the more exciting pairing with GGG. If he opts to retire, well, at 37, with his track record, everyone should say cool and move on. He more than gave his share.

DeGale got a better win and payday in one night than Golovkin has in his entire careeer

He's also a Super Middlweight champion and it will make more money than fighting Golovkin in the UK. No one knows who Golovkin is here.

Why would they need to "name drop" Golovkin? Froch is the cash cow at 168. He made more in one night against Groves than GGG has in his entire career.

Golovkin is the one who is desperate to get a fight with him because he wants to get paid more than a million dollars for once.
