Cotto reborn? He got schooled and embarrassed by Trout, the last quality opponent he faced. The same Trout that Canelo dropped and beat. Since the Cotto faced a bum in Rodriguez and cripple in Martinez and a bum in Geale. He's not reborn just looks better as a result of careful match making. Canelo will crush Cotto and make him look bad like Trout did.

canelo has never had to hook with a hooker...cotto has fought shorter combos in margo..and also margo's combo's do not stop..canelo's spurt are not good enough imo..cotto could claim power and speed advan...surely has footspeed, experience, and stamina on his side..i just think this guy is reborn under roach..he's the only person in the world that believe in freddie roach...but it works for him lol...he's fighting low and taking angles when u dont move your feet..canelo will be in for a 2nd schooling from a vet...it's time to stop calling him green and start calling it what it is...he's vastly overrated

Anybody except a GGG hater knows that Cotto gets destroyed by GGG. Freddy Roach knows it and so does Cotto. 'Golovkin is the No. 1 contender for the WBC title and the mandatory challenger, although WBC president Mauricio Sulaimon has said he is willing to make an exception for Cotto to fight Canelo Alvarez if he beats Geale. One condition for that exception, however, is that both Cotto and Alvarez must guarantee they will fight Golovkin next if they win.

Cotto does not appear enamored with that stipulation, and there is speculation he'd rather drop the WBC belt and fight Alvarez in a non-title bout if need be rather than face Golovkin.

Bums and cripples,coming from a keyboard warrior. Give respect where its due. Cotto stepped up and fought Rodriguez, most people thought he had no chance. Then he fights Geale, GGG's best opponent yet, and stops him in basically the same amount of time weighing 153 pounds. Canelo is young and still has a great future,but we all know he should have two losses. He was gifted the Lara fight. Canelo would lose decisively to Cotto.

That "Golovkin maybe in 2016" is really optimist coming from the writer. I think Cotto said that to escape from the question. He was stuttering when heard GGG's name.

Stuttering??? He froze up like a deer in he headlights! Cotto wants no part of GGG. He said 2016 but that was a stall tactic he's hoping someone else tests or beats GGG so he has an excuse to never fight him. Cotto looked good tonight, but Geale surprising looked like some tall amateur stiff from England. Bottom one is Canelo will still beat up Cotto.
