Geale looked drained. If he was able to do his regular weight, Cotto would get full credit. Kellerman said it good on HBO on the fans only seeing Miguel win and not the catch weight.

I am a Cotto fan but without the catch weight his win would look better. But do not forget Pacquiao used this and Mayweather used the catch weight against Canelo. This does not mean that now Cotto should use this, I just want to mention other fighters used catch weights, even Andre Ward against Chad Dawson. Still it was a good win for Cotto against a former two time Champ, who beat Sturm etc.

Geale is a soft limited skilled boxer with no heart or guts and a quitter who gives up. Basically Geale has no BALLS. Roach has made Cotto into a good fighter and if Cotto fights low against Canelo will win that fight easy. Geale went out again in disgrace but that is the Australian way just give up. Cotto looked great with the KO but remember Geale is a weak soft Aussie bum with zero boxing talent. GGG vs Cotto will be a war.
Team Cotto's plan worked. Miguel Angel got him out of there and didn't take much punishment en route. Geale looked lethargic and drained...this reminded me of Canelo-Angulo.
If Cotto-Canelo is happening at 155 or near, it's a pick em fight. Both have been served up gimme fights recently. Cotto coming in under the jr middle limit and conceding that he is not a legit middleweight, puts Team Canelo's recent comments about not being a middleweight any time soon, in a new light.

Your comment is unfinished..... here, let me.....
Originally posted by Mr.Fantastic View PostGeale looked drained. If he was able to do his regular weight, Cotto would get full credit. Kellerman said it good on HBO on the fans only seeing Miguel win and not the catch weight, just like they did with Pacquiao for years, when the "fans" said nothing..
Now, because top fighters have seen Pacquiao continually (keyword = CONTINUALLY) disadvantage/manipulate opponents on the scale..... Canelo has finally decided to move up from the 150 division to the 155 division..... and Cotto has decided that the middleweight division is whatever he wants it to be.
I told you guys that accepting/condoning catchweights and weight-manipulation was a big mistake. Now that YOU have set the precedent by accepting it from one fighter, you have to deal with fact that weight manipulation is an accepted aspect of the sport.
Fcuks sake !
