purses for pbc on nbc

Unless you're an investor, why do you and others care so much how PBC make money and how they spend THEIR money. I just tune in to watch the fights, not my job to be concerned about PBC Money, Purse and all of that stuff.
Haymon is no dummy clearly so I doubt he is wasting money without a long term plan in all this. All I can do is keep watching and see how this things unfolds. Haymon has a long history of proving people wrong that doubt him regardless if it is Concerts or in boxing and helping Mayweather make the money he has made from Showtime and recently from the Pacquiao Fight.
First time posting regarding the situation in months yet it never fails for someone to post the same response you just did.
You point out the fact that I shouldn't care how he manages his situation unless I'm an investor myself, yet you proceed to praise Haymon for making Floyd's bank account grow tremendously in the following paragraph. In essence, you're attempt to make me look like a fool would simply place you in a hypocritical position, not a good look.
To answer your question, it's not that I care per say for what Haymon does or doesn't but he's ******** on the sport i just so happen to enjoy most. Like I've stated multiple times in the past, his endeavor is bigger than a promotional ambition, it's a shifting of the sport itself. Hence, the importance I gave to it by making my initial post in the thread.
Sadly I missed he last three events but from the looks of it, I haven't missed anything aside from one or two good fights worth mentioning. It amuses me when Haymon junkies claim to love the fights and what he's doing with the sport, but overlook the fact that he's force feeding new fans by scraping the bottom of the greasy barrel to deep fry a few home cooked dishes. Sooner than later people are bound to tune out, and if this so happens to occur... Well, it won't be doing our sport any favors and might even place it further back than where it was at initially.Comment

All we can do is see how this thing plays out, they're just getting started. Last week Spike Event was a success, this week wasn't a great event so now they know not to do Afternoon Events on the West Coast!Comment

Had this problem with Haymon fighters for a long time, going back to Berto-Cotto falling through. Berto didn't think getting a couple mil or whatever was enough because he was getting a million bucks to fight Freddy ****in' Hernandez.Comment

That too. The false sense of security he's cushioning his fighters with is astonishing. He's paying his fighters astronomic amounts of cash to fight sub par competition, how much would he have to pay in order for the main names to face each other once the time comes?
I assure you once they are forced to face each other, they won't do it unless there is some type of stipulation to benefit the "a" side, or ridiculous amounts of cash in order to follow through.
Imagine a sport filled with Mayweather's and Cotto's in regards to their "business savvy" as some would claim.. But with the technical skills of a Guerrero or Santa Cruz. Yeah, beautiful innit?Comment

They're trying to capture a new Audience, they already know what we want I'm sure but they have to get the other fans who don't know boxing like we do Caught Up. What we consider a big match up means nothing to new fans who haven't watched boxing in year.
The big matches are coming eventually!Comment
