brook doesn't have the experience to give floyd a run for his money, imo. and he's a chore to watch. amir khan is the more entertaining fight.


floyd has beaten numerous fighters with skills that trumps both, yet it's maidana who's the only guy since castillo to make an argument. you need more than straight boxing skills to beat floyd, brook doesn't have the intangibles or the style to do it.

I don't think Khan will be all that exciting. Floyd is 1000% better at fighting at the range Khan likes to fight at.

The best opponent as far as competitiveness is Cotto but even he already lost in a 8-4 type of fight.

khan throwing as many punches as he can while his chin is up in the air is always exciting. irondan is right, totally see mayweather-brook being a repeat of mayweather-canelo, a lackluster one-sided schooling.

i think the bloody nose made it seem more competitive than it actually was. cotto showed a disrupting jab but not much else.

I agree. The referee acted like another member of Mayweather's team. Not a single warning for excessive clinching and holding and hitting. He did let Mayweather do what ever he wanted.

You know Porter fought at 165 in the amateurs? He turned pro at 154 and boils down to make welter and is strong at the weight.

I lean out pretty well at around 160-158. If someone were to teach me how to "drain down", I'm sure I could go from maybe 162-159 down to 147 and rehydrate back up and be fairly damn lethal. I mainly focus on cardio and stamina, so give me a substantial weight advantage and I'd be all over that ass like flies on schit.

I'm not sure he needs to. That's not his game. He needs to commit to his jab and counter Floyd's counters. Maidana had success in the center of the ring at times.

It's not one way to beat him. Rough and tough isn't the only way to get the job done.

Brook's an underrated boxer but I don't think he's going to be able to do that kind of thing enough to win 7 rounds. Brook can make it tough in a loss but imo to win he has to hurt him, I give him a legit puncher's chance.
