This is just another "interim" title. Floyd should let that crap belt go. The world knows he's the champion, just like they knew he was always the p4p #1 fighter even after his retirement and a certain fighter got hyped into passing him.

Technically through the WBO rules he is correct. Floyd would have to "pay his fee" and he gets to keep the WBO belt, but if he does the WBO rules clearly state that a WBO titleholder CANNOT hold a belt in another weight class in the same time period.

Money grubbing clowns? Yes I agree.

the rules clearly state that a WBO titleholder (it doesnt state "new" or "current" so we have to assume they are stating a WBO titleholder in general whenever he won it) cannot hold belts in another weight class at the same time. Hence why WBO said that floyd would vacate title upon winning but not yet has not do so (as far as we know)

If he lets go of the WBC/WBA titles I can see Cotto-Canelo for the vacant 154 lbs WBC title.
Well that would make the most sense.

Why even hold the Jr MW belts? He ain't going to fight there and he hasn't fought there in 2 years.

                Everyone knows he's a Welterweight.

Vacate them and let Cotto and Canelo fight for them.

So does Floyd still hold the WBO belt at 147 or what?

If he holds the 154 titles and beats Cotto he will be lineal champ in 3 weight divisions.

Probably holding them to keep options open.

                      You think Cotto's an option?

I'm wondering if Brook will get it now.
