January 28, 2005 - Representatives of WBA heavyweight champ John "The Quietman" Ruiz have informed **********.com that according to a letter they received from the WBA today, James "Lights-Out" Toney has been named Ruiz's mandatory challenger. A couple of weeks ago, Toney's trainer Freddie Roach first informed ********** that Toney-Ruiz was in the works. Ever the politician, Toney's promoter Dan Goossen told **********.com, "That's one of the fights we're working on, along with a few others." good news I guess. start the name calling, because I think Ruiz wins. He is so awkward in there and Toney is smallish with not great Heavyweight power. I think Ruiz will do what he always does....bore the **** out of us and win an ugly decision.
I will pray to god that I'm wrong!!!!!! If Ruiz does beat Toney, we have no choice but to give him credit. -
Marvdave i'm shocked, Toney is too fast for Ruiz. I say Toney out points him. Even if Ruiz tries to wrestle Toney will land before he clinches. I honestly cannot see Ruiz winning this at all.Comment

Toney gets a title shot a real belt? ****ING A!!!! as long as JT follows the blueprint set by RJJ, he'll beat Ruiz and win the WBA hw championship. he must land big punches, uppercuts, hooks, on the inside before the manlover clinches, if james can land the amount of punches he usually does he'll stop Ruiz lateComment
