THREE fight contract, not five. Still a dud, but less of one.

well that's pretty terrible still but i guess not as bad. this fight will obviously be a huge loss so i'm guessing they will have to make a big fight next against canelo. cotto will get smashed obviously and then his last fight hopefully they force him to fight someone good to try and get their money back.

Thats what I thought, obv Cotto can bring in his fanbase and his fight style appeals to casual fans- but I don't think Ward could generate enough so they could profit from him after paying tens of millions.

Maybe they hope to cash in on the pure boxer undefeated record thing. Figured mayweather can do it so can ward. A little image makeover a good fight or too and peoples out look on him can Change.

Throw in a little prostitution, embezzlement, and bribes would get a partial of it back. As for the rest, beats the h3ll out of me.

Shit, look at Vic do some work!

I think Davey boy could be on the hot seat. If Cotto loses, gets busted up, or goes uber-diva and jeopardizes the up coming Alvarez ppv trilogy, they'll lose on their return investment. And unless Golovkin or Kovalev become a ppv star and agree to fight Ward, they'll never see a return on that investment.

they did get a star stop it already with the Martinez fight he was healthy if he wasn't the fight would be canceled cotto sells out new York every time cotto will be here for another year or 2 the canelo fight itself gets them back the investment

Yes, Yes, and Yes. Kovalev/Ward is the fight I and almost all serious boxing fans want to see. Get it done!

Floyd did play the bad guy though, he made millions off people watching him hoping he'll lose. Hopefully Ward doesn't go down that route, he's got a respectful nice guy image.

But yeah a good couple of fights like taking out Kovalev and Stevenson then you could arguably market him as the best fighter in the world.
