Comments Thread For: Roach: Canelo First, Then Golovkin Next Year For Cotto

If Miguel Cotto is victorious in Saturday night's defense of his WBC middleweight title against Daniel Geale at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the heavy talk regarding his next opponent has revolved around mandatory challenger Gennady "GGG" Golovkin and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Cotto has already confirmed that there is a verbal agreement to fight Canelo Alvarez should he come out victorious Saturday night.

Overlooking Geale and Canelo. If he reburies the walking rye bread-zombie-corpse that is Geale then he ain't getting past the ginger man-child.

We need 4 or 5 fighters that will get it on like the hero's of yesteryear, Hearns Leonard Hagler Duran and a few more.

We have Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather and throw in a wild card, say GGG, he would be the Hagler. Mix them all up and who sticks his head up at the end is the best.

hahahahahahahahaha them chicken feathers will be all over the place, hahahahahahahahaha

Geale Beats Cotto, Canelo Beats Up Cotto, GGG KO's Cotto

BUT... Canelo doesn't happen when Geale beats Cotto Saturday. GGG never happens, period.

Cotto should be campaigning for a Floyd rematch in Sept. Would be very tempting for Floyd to go after the middleweight title in his last fight. Especially against a guy he's already beaten and pretty much guarantees a very good payday.
